When the new 2 Series / M2 was released it was seen as a bit of a marmite car but the AC Schnitzer's take on the 240i has vastly improved the look and could be something that stops you from getting the new M2!

THIS M240 IS THE CLOSEST I'VE SEEN TO WHAT REAL M CARS USED TO BE BACK IN THE DAY. IF ONLY IT WAS A BIT LIGHTER! BUT THE ETHOS IS STILL THERE. CLEAN LINES, NO SILLY GRILLS. GOOD JOB BMW.

It comes down to what works for you and what you need the car for. The M240 will always be a sportier, fun car with only slightly less space and room inside. The M440 would potentially be a better long distance car with more room. You can’t go wrong with either really! 😀

Looks good, as a G42 owner I think it’s best doing Exhaust Clips On the move with this car as the burbles come out

Glad you like it, very cool car in person. If we had more time we would have got a mic near the exhaust area for the driving clip. It did sound very nice.

Very nice looking G42! What size are those wheels and tires? Do u sell to the USA?

Glad you like it! Wheels are 20”, AC4, flow formed. Michelin PS4S Tyres, can’t confirm the sizes unfortunately. We can sell to anywhere in the world but it may be best to see if you can speak to your local USA AC Schnitzer rep where you are 😀

This is a rear axle back system. It retains the GPF’s.

Glad you like it, thanks for your comment. This is completely standard engine/performance wise apart from the upgraded exhaust system.

I wonder how fast it will be with the AC Schnitzer performance box. As I know engine output goes up to 420bhp and torque 600nm. With the light body weight it may keep up with old M4

I’ve been told that they perform very close to the M3/4 G8X cars when tuned. The 240i will handle better too!

Great car but the ACS rep couldn’t have been less impressed with his own car.

In fairness, he had just travelled for nearly 7 hours to get to us and we did put him on the spot with this filming with limited daylight left. All the same, they’ve an incredible knowledge of these cars and components and the products in a way do most of the talking 😀

Wheels are just too big. It has a rubber band as a tire.

Do you reckon? They seem pretty well proportioned in real life. The car drives very well with this wheel setup, no loss in comfort.
