Thank for watching everyone! Next time we plan to do a Ura Zelda video as a transition point to Majora's Mask. Also this took surprising long simply cause the portal effects I had to key into this. PS. I accidently had this premiering an hour earlier than I wanted (literally uploaded it before I slept), so as such I apologize for not being there for the premiere. I'll plan to be more careful next and join again for the premieres!

I still wonder what Ura Zelda would have looked like had Aunoma been more interested in the project. Or if Miyamoto hadn't supported his idea for a sequel, would those beta Majoras Mask dungeon maps from Giga Leak have been integrated into OoT's world instead? So many questions..
@TheObsessiveGamer3 жыл бұрын
@@shadowledastray Pretty much I believe. In many ways while people clamour for Ura Zelda, we technically got it if we play both Master Quest and Majora's Mask. We pretty much I believe got Majora's Mask by taking assets of Ura Zelda to make it. I'll plan to go over these in more detail in that Ura Zelda video.
@shadowledastray3 жыл бұрын
@@TheObsessiveGamer That's the impression I got as well.. we didn't lose Ura Zelda, it's new ideas (outside dungeon remixes) were simply repurposed to make a new game. I certainly like that better than the old "Nintendo has the real Ura Zelda hidden away on some old hard drive" rumor. Lol

It’s a tough call man but I’m with you on that. The golden eye thing came out in a different generation where everyone had internet and games were online and such so I think it wouldn’t be as easy for stuff that old. We just gotta hope someone with a cartridge dumper can get a hold of an old build and maybe then we’ll have to worry about that because not that many have those for n64 games. @TheObsessiveGamer3 жыл бұрын
Good question. On the surface, no because OOT is the only one to have such insane leaks to show us how different it was, but also no because OOT was the first 3D Zelda, so alot of experimentation was done in trying to figure out how to make a proper 3D Zelda, therefore a lot was left on the cutting room floor and never to be used. Granted, up till Twilight Princess there was still a good deal of Cut Content regardless as far as we've seen, so I still got plenty to cover

I dunno I'm not sure he's telling the truth. The guy being interviewed, I mean. He's promoting this new game of his, we recently have these leaks making interest in early N64 builds peak again, and then all of a sudden he's like "BTW I worked on the first map for Ocarina of Time in a secret build and I came up with Portal's gimmick and got it running and light mapping running and real-time reflections on N64 but nobody except me ever saw it." Bull. Absolute bull. I mean I'm not saying it's impossible but the timing and the details are SUPER suspicious, and when pressed about it he pauses for like, ten seconds looking around scratching his head going "Uh uh uh" and then just says "I guess because... nobody ever saw it..." I'm not gonna call him a liar but we only have his word for all this. It's not a great source at the moment. I'd love to uncover what he was talking about in a new leak or something down the line and be able to compare it to this interview like how we can compare the Mario Kart town track to the interview describing it and the parking garage. The only things we have to back his claim up are the Super FX Link and a tech demo featuring a different model entirely. Tech demos aren't builds, they're tech demos. Just like that one for Wii U where the only thing used was the lighting engine for Wind Waker HD. I just don't think we have enough evidence to cast off the skepticism and extremely suspicious other factors surrounding this dude.
@TheObsessiveGamer3 жыл бұрын
Giles Goddard is a well known and reputable game developer who is well known for his work on Star Fox , the Super FX chip, and the Mario 64 face while holding a strong tie with Nintendo internally. He is a professional developer with years of history and I doubt he would be making it up. As well, the interview he had with MinnMax didn't talk about his game at all, but rather about this specifically. Also it's perfectly understandable for him to pause. This is a build from 26 years ago, so trying to remember details can be a little tough afterall. There is no real suspicion unless a detail actually is off, which nothing points to it. His history alone speaks for him.
