If it's still somehow a problem using a Link-4 monster, Fiendsmith would need to be hit in someway, and I'm not sure how effective it would be to ban normal spell instead just killing the Link-1.

1:00 so I actually ended up getting into a discussion relating to this on a discord server I was on and I brought this up and I’m kinda disappointed I was right. We as the yugioh community really have set the bar SO LOW for Konami, haven’t we? Imagine praising Konami for doing this? This is a company that gave proper communication on the banlist philosophy 1 time OVER A DECADE AGO, then were mocked so hard they never communicated anything about the banlist since. No specific timing on banlist drops, no information on the reason they do and do not hit certain cards. Just pure radio silence. And now we should applaud them for finally saying “hey the way we are going to do THIS banlist is wait and see how INFO affects the format”? Forgive me for not being over the moon they decided to actually communicate with the player base for once.

why are you still talking about yugioh then. If you want change stop commenting and talking about yugioh, put pressure on the bottom line sales and content creators by not engaging so they can keep asking Konami to do something. As a new Yugioh player I don’t understand how the community complains for decades but still consumes yugioh content. That’s not how you get the change you want. Even if you don’t play by talking about it means you contributing to keeping the game floating. On the topic of other new TCGs it’s the same as normal games, change if you want but player retention is not guaranteed like how several games recently had really high player counts in the tens or hundreds of thousands and 6 months later they have only less than 30% of players left.

Fiendsmith has a busted, legal link 1 but Prank Kids can't have their cat back to be a functional deck again. Only hopium i am puffing atm is enjoying playing Mimighoul and playtest different ideas. Every other new archetype in INFO is crazy expensive. I'll pick up the new Drytron cards and wait for a Nova reprint (no way I am paying for the original release). 1304 days waiting for Konami to reprint Drytron Nova.

I wouldn´t put too much faith in the next banlist. They specifically mentioned reprints of Diabelstar Black Witch and Promethean Princess in the announcement for Quarter Century Bonanza, so Snake-Eye will probably remain at least very relevant until the end of the year. I hope I´m wrong, though.

Like Beatrice should be banned since tear, the Caesar is one hell of a Card and Lars i would touch solely for the reason, that the other 2 outperform Lars. Imo i would ban Apo, I:P, Beatrice and Limit or Ban the Drain. Or Ban the Baby Goddess to stop bridging into FS. Would be a TCG Style thing. Cause if you want to hit consistency or making Snek vulnerable to Handtraps, Ban OSS and limit Flamberge, then there would be no reason to Play Witch and wanted and the Followup is somewhat beatable

konami has seemed to of improved their communication lately, which I'm all for. though I'm also highly skeptical of the next banlist shaking things up meaningfully, since I'm of the thought that they want worlds to be a tier 0 or at least a predominantly snake-eyes format. maybe some stuff like the predicted apollousa ban and/or hits to fiendsmith's gameplay options without hitting fiendsmith, like a beatrice ban, plus some other inconsquential shuffling arounds. maybe a small consistency hit to snake-eyes for now, but I'm not gonna be coping on anything that drastically alters or even removes the deck from the upper echelons until at least the banlist after though also gotta wonder about konami's thought process in naming the new archetype white forest for the tcg. I mean it's technically a correct translation still, but ✔background scenery looks like woods ✔witches more traditionally found lurking in woods konami: "it's a forest" I'm just gonna chalk this one down to their seeming reluctance to adapt fan naming conventions whenever possible

As much as it sucks we knew that they were never going to murder snake-eyes a week before nats. They were either going to give it a couple consistency hits and call it a day or wait until after the tournament is over. Honestly seems like the lesser of two evils. This might just be the Coper in me but It genuinely seems like they are planning to kill off snake eyes in all 3 formats before worlds, and if they do I’ll honestly be ok with it.

I don't mind Fiendsmith being around so long as the busted stuff that can be done with it isn't around... that mostly being facilitated with Beatrice. Otherwise it's just a very accessible engine that can benefit decks like Yubel, Chimera and Unchained. You take away Beatrice and then The Fiendsmith isn't just a 1 card combo starter for Snake-Eye and at that point it's best utilisation is to get out the lvl 9 Fiendsmith fusion. I think the ban list needs to ban Beatrice, Apollousa, Sanctifire and King Calamity, then limit Snake-Eye Ash, WANTED and I'd personally also like to see a semi-limit to Bonfire. I also think there are quite a few cards that could be brought back to higher numbers from the list too, e.g. Drident, Master Peace, Glow-Up Bulb, Plushfire, Meow-Meow Mu, Simorgh, Electrumite, Zenmaity, Zoodiac Barrage, Dragon Rulers, Dragonic Diagram and Pankratops. From there we see how the format develops.

My biggest problem with Blue-Eyes support is if people are tired of its constant incoming support they could have made Spirit Ultimate a monster negate so Spirit can summon Crimson Dragon. Beating around the bush is why they can't dedicate more resources to other anime and manga decks. Perhaps Yugis deck or Heros? They could have skipped to making it good and ban Calamity before release. They screw up so many cards so they can keep making more.
