I enjoyed warframe a lot, to a point where i burned out from WF, TFD was a fresh breath of air, but the grind is too much its worse than warframe, so i hate playing it tbh. and the worst part is i cant even return to warframe since i have a burnout from the game, a really severe burnout where even when i start the game i cant bring myself to play it, its just a good memory for me now.

Tbh thanks to TFD i started playing Warframe (i had already tried it few months ago but was taken a back due to overwhelming amount of things to do). TFD is slow Warframe. My probelms with TFD is that, if you've played Warframe, you cant be surprised by anything TFD has to offer. If I wanna play a new game, I want it to feel like a new game. If its gonna base itself off of another game, at least build enough off of it to make it unique. TFD doesn't do that enough for me.

I greatly disagree, the more I play the game, the more I notice the differences, gunplay feels distinct in TFD and so does the abilities each character has. You guys fixate way too much on superficial aspects of both games when making comparisons. At least you're nowhere near the fools comparing the game with Destiny. When the only thing the game does that is similar to Destiny is purely in visuals and nothing more

Warframe uses a shoulder height camera similar to Resident Evil 4, it's gunplay is based around approximate aiming, enemies have slightly Bigger hotboxes to ensure that you'll land the shots if most of the aim is on the target. The First Decendant requires more precision. Weapons in the First Decendant also require utility.ods to function properly, they are all balanced about issues that you need to fix to improve DPS and way less dependency on CRIT values. Guns in TFD are all made to fulfill specific functions, in Warframe guns are a matter of preference, you equip what you like.

I like TFD because it just looks so good. I hate that skins and color customization are behind a paywall, though.... Warframe is cool but the character models arent as apealing to me. (Not that I prefer my character to be partially naked) I also dont have anyone to play with as the people ik on TFD glaze it to the point where they hate warframe.

Im glad the game exists, competition is healthy. But The game as it is right now, feels so much more grindy than warframe, that is something. My baseline is warframe and if a grindy game passes that then im more hesitant. Maxing out in warframe as you go further gets easier and is something you get used to, (excluding the need for archon shards). FD has combined so many systems I personally feel it makes the game too grindy. You have the modding system from warframe There’s an accessory type system for set bonuses which to me are reminiscent of gacha games Weapon stat rerolling, to me feels like riven rolling or rerolling stats on safi weapons from mh, Not to mention upgrading mods, items + catalysts, the quantity of upgrade materials needed is a little much even as a warframe vet. I understand there’s no need to max out rn, basic builds are capable of shredding the void intercept bosses, but it’s still something that should be taken note off as the game will continue adding more weapons and characters in the future. I’m also seeing something concerning with the current state of FD and that everyone is already extremely powerful. The game promoted these boss fights as one of the key features but there are so many people melting them in minutes and to me I’m just here watching saying: it’s such a waste. I’m not comparing it to warframe bc warframes boss fights are nothing to write home about either, but the difference is that the power creep in warframe has been a long staple at this point DE is used to it and with the recent addition of the steel path sanctum boss, it’s showing that they are finding ways to make interesting bosses that can stay alive for longer. So in the future when they eventually release more challenging bosses they won’t just get shredded immediately and they can still comfortably release the OP stuff we’re used to but won’t shred the bosses because of this new boss design blueprint. I’m glad there are bosses but to me these bosses are being treated like borderlands bosses which as nice as that can be, those stop being challenging as we can already see. I also understand they are meant to be farmed repeatedly and so it’s good they are completed so quickly. But bosses should be bosses, they need to be harder. My worry is that Nexon can’t adapt fast enough or doesn’t have a blueprint to make harder bosses going forward. I know most players haven’t gotten to that level and they are definitely hard starting out but there are more and more people everyday that approach that level soon enough that the game will have the same issue as warframe when it comes to bosses at some point down the line. @@raddude1328 I get where you're coming from, and this isn't to say the game couldn't be kinder to players with lesser time, but people who have more time to put into anything should always be better off than those who can't. Basketball players with 30+ years of training, or people with 10,000 hours in a fighting game like Tekken or Street Fighter, to an artificial number someone grinded to infinity to get. They're signs of power, status, and what separate those who are good from those who aren't. Sadly, for some people, all it does is separate from those "with a life" and those "without one", when in reality, people choose what to spend their spare time on. Assuming someone works a 9-5 job every day except Sunday, and sleeps 8 hours a day, that leaves 8 hours of gameplay each day, 16 hours on Sunday. That's 160 hours a month, or o1,600 in 10 months. People choose to spend that time with family, or friends, because they find that to be the more valuable experience. For those people, who value their time, more than their money, they have the option to catch up to those who value their money more than their time.

I've just started playing The First Descendant and it's actually my first looter shooter to really get into. I love it so far, however the drop rates are very very frustrating. So I'm hoping that over time, the developers will flesh this game out and make some changes that will keep the community interested. Warframe and Destiny 2 have both been around a while now and I'm guessing that early on they had their own troubles before they became the games they are now.

Correction, there are no specialized weapon slots. You have four types of ammo and you can put those weapons where you will. I don’t remember in Warf frame if those slats are specific, but I don’t believe they are specific at all in the first descendants they just naturally ends up that way because of the way you get your first weapons but if you want to put two weapons in or two weapons sharing general ammo, don’t think there’s anything to stop you from doing that how you could have all three weapons using general Lambo and then you just be out of ammo all the time no dude but she don’t back the fuck up. I’m gonna take that spot.

weapon types (ammo type) is loosely based on destiny than warframe in TFD warframe for the most part only has primary and secondary ammo though there are new heavy ammo (archgun deployer) but it is a special ammo type that is outside the loadout

You can literally put any weapon you want in any slot if I want to put three general round weapons on my character one in each slot I can do so if I wanna put three launchers on, I can do so you cannot do that destiny. Also, no, they didn’t OK borderlands as an example had ammo pools with various ammo types and guns used ammo from a given pool and that way predates destiny. Every goddamn shooter in history has used pools some of them just straight up. Bungee didn’t invent anything and Destiny if bungee had anything to do it with it. It was probably invented way back, when the first halo came out, what I mean is that if bungee had anything innovative to do it was in halo but ammo/weapon types that ain’t it. Lots of shooters have done that and when you say popularized, I don’t really see it as being all that popular to be fair. Most people would just prefer every weapon had its own ammo.

In WF the potato's don't feel grindy cause for most players we can just straight up buy with plat and that plat is coming from farming prime parts and trading em for it, in FD, the grind for both the crystals and reactor is awful to say the least, the grind for base characters are complicated even for a player like me who spend fair amount of time in WF grinding out every frames including primes which never felt that grindy but FD how i put it out...been trying to get the Glay parts and ran the missions which the parts stuff dropped from and that being like 5 hours of play today, still didn't get a single one after cracking em in void intercept bosses, and let's not start with the ultimate character farming, if this is how they want it to be, they will either gain so many players with so much lazy money sitting around or lose the players who came from WF real soon. ALSO, the colors are one time use with every purchase which even for a game like FD is super scummy in 2024.

having basic descendants parts in amorphous run is so scummy, they just clutter the space to make ult version grindier unlike in warframe, relic famr is usually always about prime parts, and those prime parts can be shared on a grouped relic run, not mentioning the capabilities to sell this as plat or ducat for baro ki teer TFD has nothing new to offer than being a simplified version of warframe with lots of qol thrown out to justify their grindiness and prices for the mtx also the core gameplay mechanics of TFD is too basic to compare with warframe, the mobility and the ability to "switch shoulder" are non existent (the hook in the game feels clunky)

Tried the first descendants. If im being honest. Playing it the game feels like Anthem without flight. Even the menu system and artstyle is very close to Anthem other than the game being a hero shooter with selectetable characters. The story idk. It seems kind of like Anthens lowkey but kind of generic in a way evwn though the character models are really good. I dont know man. I'll give it another try but im fully committed to Warframe so idk.

In Warframe 1 potato to enhance mod capacity cost less than $1 USD, in TFD it costs $40.00 USD, Warframe gives you the battlepass for free and has actually useful things, TFD BP costs $10 and gives you things that you get from scrap useless gear, so basically, gives you trash on the half of the rewards.

Warframe allows customization of base skins. FD doesn't. Warframe has amazing and detailed looking frames. FD only has 2 interesting characters the male with horns and bunny. The rest are too basic. Frames I would call sexy would only be Wisp and Mesa primes version. And that's the right thing. FD has too many sexualized characters and skins. Like if I wanted that amount of sexual content I would straight go to play a corn game or watch corn. Warframe all the way

Being able to actually see someone visibly adds so much personality to the character without them having to say or do a thing. frames are inherently menacing, or ugly, although can be aesthetically pleasing to the kind of fan it caters to. Human beings cater to almost everyone though.

Warframe is certainly better, although it’s not a simple answer that can be properly ascertained without actually scrutinizing both games, the realease of FD does show how truly aged the gun play and the WF engine are but we can see clear as day the superiority in developer decisions between DE and nexon, likewise First Descendant take F2P and pushes the precipice of F2T with the sheer amount of gameplay mechanics designed to drive the player towards the in game shop (warframe has some too but nothing so agregious) ultimately I would say they are on even footing only because warframe SHOULD be better without a doubt. It’s been out for over 9 years had hundreds and hundreds of millions to budget and retain playerbases as well as experiment their own developments, but First descendant has a solid launch. I have no doubt they will strive off of whales for about 2 months and after the 2 month mark the massive fall off in play interest will force them to make some different decisions to incentivize player retention.

@@XAV-117the prices of characters on first decendant are much higher and in the end bot even very rewarding. The “ultimate” characters as far as I know dont really have anything special about them other than them looking better and being more expensive. On warframe “prime” warframes arent a deluxe version of a frame but rather a frame that can be obtained via trading and stuff. Microtransactions are much less needed on warframe as there is a trading system. The “questionable” microtransactions on the final descendant stem from the fact that its absurd pricing for something you cant trade.

TFD has a good foundation, but it needs significant improvements. It reminds me of the initial release of Warframe. Note: I will probably never play TFD until they fix it or provide an alternative. Here are my main concerns: 1. The grind time compared to Warframe is likely ten times higher. This is because in Warframe, you can speedrun and nuke maps, while in TFD, everything is slowed down. 2. The descendants are overly sexualized, such as the Ultimate Bunny ☠. (I'll probably just play with the cool big guys. XD) 3. The missions are too boring. 4. The travel time from point A to B is slow and boring. 5. They need something unique. Right now, I don't see a significant difference between this and other existing games.

I'll stick with Warframe. I wanted to give The First Descendant a try, but it doesn't convince me. It's a game that copies a lot of things from Warframe and Destiny, but still playing it feels like drinking diluted Coca-Cola. You love the taste, but you feel something is missing. And it happened to me with this game. The story is *¡BORING!*, the main reason I stopped playing this game at the beginning. The presentation of the open worlds it has is the most generic and simple in the world. I wish they did it like Warframe presents open worlds like Cetus or Deimos, which for me are the best. The gunplay gets boring 20 hours into the game, at least for me. Not to mention that the missions are boring too, I won't judge that the missions are repetitive (which they are too) since Warframe also has repetitive missions but at least they are fun, the game could have been much better than it is now.

You are not spending time trying to work out what you are looking at, you know, there is human, good guy, there is non human, bad guy, ( destiny does this as well). 2) the grind is much more controlled in TFD , Warframe was rediculous in the amount of grind needed to just about anything in the game, There are some jenky things in TFD like the vaults.. but it's also week 2.. 30 wokeness/DEI I don't need it nor do i want it forced upon me, and Warframe has DEI pouring out it's woke ass doors. TFD, well, it's obvious the creators DGAF about woke. TFD is far from perfect in any way, I've been an animator for decades and looking at the game I can tell they made about 70% of it using built in assets and plugins. ( not including backside server and monetary implementations. )

The grind is not more controlled. The grind is much easier and simple in Warframe. On top of that, TFD limits a specific resource to a specific character. Which is shit tbh.

@@silvera-00 that is true, i do not like that to get specific things i NEED to have a poison or non attribute character, but again, they seem to be responding to criticism well, the vault thing for instance , they now have options to farm it from world drops , small i know, but since it seems the game does not like high speed mouse and frame rates, when that unlock game comes along, it's nice to have the options.. Inversely, i found that a lot of WF's good stuff, the gold and purple 'cards' were locked behind a skill wall; you REALLY need to be very good at bullet movement or you simply can not move, and the cost of a star ship and the parts to make it.. not exactly a walk in park ( again it's been years since i played but I did play over 800 hrs. ) Neither game is amazing, but TFS is new and has the opportunity to make changes for the better. I hope they do so.

@@silvera-00 I've forgotten, i had wukong prime, but not the normal on me, what advantages did the prime have that the normal didn't, I simply liked that Prime looked more human like then most. It is annoying that Enzo is absolutely required, but I also think it's a way to slow down the play, I thought I was doing well with 5 descendants. but man, some people are just grinding hard AF.. As much as i don't like the gating.. it's is still technically 'pre season ' a soft launch ' AS i said, it is far from perfect, but the 3 main points i made are what will keep me playing this over WF.

what I like about warframe is that I don't need to humanize my judgement to tell if a guy is supposed to be good or bad, the story and lore makes up for it also I'm not a fan of woke ass shit, warframe has it all over the place right now, but they are canadian, so it will always be like that, sadly TFD could be better, if it competes with how warframe is loved by the community, the core gameplay can't even compare the grind in TFD is atrocious, in warframe it so damn easier and more fun than waiting a timer then repeat a damn thing for 0.5 seconds just to get 6% drop of something what I only like about TFD is having a drop table in the mission nodes when you hover the mouse, also how they interlink items into what boss/mission you need it, but other than that, everything seems stale (the sexy ones can stay tho, I don't mind those designs, they are there for a reason, and it is money, warframe is also the same) I only disliked in warframe is that it is more of a wiki game than diguring it yourself game

Ive played warframe and there was not a single thing that I ever found challenging. It was mostly just a weeb simulator that I could do cool "trickshots" but nothing more enganging... the first descendants not only gives a new paintjob to an old model that also ripped off concepts from halo or so people complained. The grind people complain about are lame and misguided. if you want a quick game that gives quick easy wins then warframe is it 100% but if you want to feel accomplished with a task and feel like you earned a win TFD is the clear winner. 10/10 game wish warframe was better but glad to have a great game like TFD take the lead. maybe in a year or two an even BETTER game will come out and I'll enjoy that instead of wasting time complaining like everyone else and every youtuber seems to be doing.

No, they can’t. There is no example of a true copy right infringement. Just because it’s really similar doesn’t mean it’s the exact same. They would have to literally rip assests and characters straight from warframe rather than just heavy inspiration to be sued. It also makes it incredibly difficult that digital extreme is based in America while NEXON games is based in South Korea and would be dealing with completely different copyright laws. if inspiration was a copyright infringement, then no media of the modern era would exist.
