Women have always been pilots since about WW2. With all the men off at war who do you think flew the planes over from where they were produced to deliver them to their sqaudrons. Women have and will always play a role in military airmanship. Seeing since I was little I always wanted her job and medically can't, lucky girl. I always have the need for speed and never got to indulge it. it is a thirst that never goes away, but that gives me an idea for a flightsim callsign "vampire" the thirst never goes away and my skills will never see daylight lmao

I grew up watching the tbirds all over Europe and the states as an Air Force brat. The last airshow I witnessed was at the Donaldson center in Greenville SC. 90? Something. It was Blue Angels. That's the only weekend they could shut down the power to the 3 hangers on the opposite side of the flight line. I ran a crew insulating and resurfaced all 3 hangers. We wrapped up around all the high power lines and hook ups to the hangers. By the way I was out of the US Navy 8 years when this happened. Go Navy! Beat Army this weekend 🎉

While I agree there is nothing wrong with female pilots, as technology pushes ever greater physical demands upon fighter pilots there will be a point at which the lack of physical strength will be a determent to allowing females into fighter rolls. As long as they are held 100% to the same physical/mental standards and meet those requirements, I am all for female fighter pilots

Females cannot do everything, and males cannot do everything. I am over 50 years old, and can bench-press more than the women's world record. Women are amazing, just as men are amazing, they are just different. If women could do everything, then the physical fitness standards for every branch of the military, and police academy would not be lower for females. Currently a 18 year old female has 15 minutes and 36 seconds to achieve a 100 score on the Army 2 mile run, while a 40 year male has 13 minutes and 36 seconds to achieve a 100 score. A 40 year old female has 17 minutes to get that 100 score. In all my years, I have NEVER seen a feminist request to be held to the higher standard. They take that lower standard and then claim to have "done EVERYTHING the men have"

ok so taking off from a Carrier is a process.. that has been refined and tested 100's of thousands of times, if preformed correctly and nothing breaks its zip off.. Landing is ALL on the pilot.. I once asked why do the aircraft do like 30 minutes of touch and goes after a training mission and the response was.. landing is the most dangerous thing you will do in a plane, on a runway or a carrier.

I haven't heard that. Do you have a source? Don't even bother with CNN etc. BTW. Personally, I think "combat position" is too general. There are many types of combat positions that require many different qualifications. For example, infantry is very different from flight. Even within one category (such as infantry), there are many different jobs with many different qualifications. To say that all women are unqualified for all combat positions is as ridiculous as to say the reverse.

By the way, I looked it up, and Trump's SecDef did not say that he "want's all women in combat positions out of the military." What he said was that women should not be in positions with the primary role of engaging in direct ground combat. Furthermore, he rescinded that statement.
