LOVED The First Omen! Gorgeously filmed and scored. I would definitely be on board for a direct sequel picking up where this film ended, following Margaret, Carlita and the child as they embrace their own spiritual "otherness" and learn to harness it and use it to thwart the church's plan. To me, this whole concept provides a lovely and compelling metaphor for the way so many are leaving the traditional religion and embracing a more authentic spirituality - one that is found within the individual, yet is evidence of our interconnectedness to a more universal divine force. Just my own two cents.

Definitely a new sequel to the Omen movies especially to see how these new characters interact with Damien and then culminate in a new version of Omen 3 when Damien has the power his father had and then tries to get more and more until the daughter or a relative of Margaret and/or the daughter ultimately ends up defeating him and to help us understand why certain things affected Damien the most and to see more emotion out Damien especially to elaborate why he hates God/Jesus

I think the next omen film should take place in between omen 2 and 3 when Damien is an adult. Maybe the church and Damien can all go after Margaret and her daughters and could also be an opportunity to foreshadow Damien’s death in the 3d one ;)

The sequel could show how the church split in beginning of the movie. Although with this reboot I would love to see a movie just about the Fathers battles with various evils he had to face and why he went into hiding.

You could still consider the woman a jackal in human form. She was the spawn of a human and a jackal demon, which would make her a human with jackal DNA. Just saying, that could be a way to view her as a jackal since she technically is jackal

I actually think they can and should remake the 1970s Omen. I loved the original. Actually just about to rewatch it now. However I think they can remake it with today's cast and in the mould of the new omen. The first omen has several recons that can be fixed in the Omen. They have new layers with the mother and sister alive to help sequels. Or they can deviate and utilise the rest of the cast in future movies. The sequels to the original Omen had flaws and presents a good way of fixing these issues. There might even be the opportunity to do a prequel to the prequel.

I suspect what’s going to happen is that just as we saw with the First Omen bringing in characters from 1976 film to First Omen whoever survived in the original film will be used to tell a new story to involve Margarite, Carlita and Damien sister. I suspect that Carl Bugenhagen will be the character link who after witnessing the deaths of Father Brennan and Robert Thorn at the hands of Damien and the sect since I truly suspect this sect is who sent Mrs Baylock to off Robert and Kathy Thorn he goes to Margarite and tells her hey not only you need to protect yourself since the cult is coming for you but need to wipe out Damien using the daggers 🗡️ before it’s too late. Then begins her journey to find Damien. This would virtually wipe out Damien Omen 2 and Final Conflict if any of the three gals are successful in wiping out Damien and the cult.

Oh I definitely want them to go back because I need to see just what their pact and deal with Satan looked like!! How exactly did they make contact with him and how did they connect with the jackal. Obviously Satan enters it. I am guessing when Satan has possession of it then it becomes more than an animal because it had intelligence. Essentially a demonic jackal. Other parts of the movie could skip way forward. I want to see how Ann and Paul Buher joined. Would be cool if at the moment bugenhagan dies the first wife of Richard thorn dies similar to her son mark. Thus making the way for Ann to enter the household and protect damien.

I love Omen and Damien Omen 2 so ignoring Omen 2 I wouldn't like . I always felt Omen 3 was rushed and anti climatic but loved Sam Neill as Damien

But Omen 2 is the worst one of the og trilogy, it ignored all of the Britishness that was prevelent in the first and third film. Part of what makes the Omen trilogy so good is how it blends British and American culture so well.

I am about leaving the movies we have intact but providing stories that are on the sides. Maybe adding in between details and events affecting Damien but not changing any events the movies. That would be so twisted if Kate Reynolds turned out to be his sister like somebody said.

I don't think it's a prequel. I think it's a reboot in disguise. I sense studio intervention to restart the series, that's why they changed a lot of the lore. People like me that grew up with the original lore got cheated out of the whole jackal angle. That's what we have waited fifty years to see, and we didn't get it.

In the end, they show a headshot of Gregory Peck’s Robert Thorne: the confirmation this prequel is canon with at least the very first movie. The only possible things, for me, is they are gonna ignore the events of Omen 2 and 3, OR they are gonna make the female protagonists clash with Damien in the time windows IN BETWEEN Omen, Omen 2 and Omen 3…

This is no reboot in disguise. The early 70's setting and a brief glimpse of Gregory Peck. I too was pissed off with no scene showing Damien being born from a jackal.

@@nikfabbi87 now that I agree with that's why I say it is a soft reboot. If anything the first two are just fine. The third film is where I think damage control needs to be done, especially with this whole new twin sister rubbish going on. The final conflict will probably be between the twin siblings. Trust me the studio has their fingerprints all over this thing. They smell money, they smell franchise, and that is the direction they are going. What the studio is doing is they are relying on this new generation that has no knowledge of the previous films to buy into this.

I think the movie errored by saying they want to bring people back to the church for what reason I'm not sure. In a future installment they should retco this and say they are trying to bring about the end times, hich, is a bit closer to reality than one would think.

Whatever they do they mustn't remake (like that 2006 rubbish) the original 1976 movie since the First Omen slips perfectly into it. They should concentrate on making alternative sequels to the 1976 film which ignore the events of Omen 2 and 3 and include a new storyline with Damien's twin sister clearly being involved. A standalone film or miniseries dealing with Mrs. Baylock's backstory would be great aswell.

No no no. Your first 3 and a half minutes of what may come is wrong. It will make the storylines confusing and replace what is already established. The next thing they need to do is tie up facts we know in the original and establish their origins in the next film. We should look at how Fr Brenan learns more about the origins of the church factions and how the daggers of Migiddo come in to play. We may even see the old man who first had the daggers. we also need to understand what happened to the members of the church faction and as mentioned Margaret and her other kid. At the moment this film represents Damien arriving not by divine intervention but by being manufactured. They need to work out how that ties I and do it carefully or its franchise will disintegrate.

Oh I don't want the sequals touched. I want the sequel of this new movie to involve plots that don't tamper with the other movies. If Damien ever comes across his sister it needs to be aft omen 2. Ican however see a moment where they say come across each other in omen 1976 time but it does nothing to change what's established. For example mrs. Baylock could have Damien at the park and he senses his twin near because that group is watching him.

I think the twin should wait and bide her time, then when she knows Damian has failed and been defeteated in 1981's Final Conflict, she should emerge from the darkness as a 32 year old female antichrist to carry on Damians legacy. Her birth mother Margaret died when she was young and the jackal skeleton was put in the grave which you see in the 1976 Omen. Considering The Final Conflict is set in 2003 as Damian is 32 and was born in 1971, she could orchestrate and shape many of the dark events over the last 20 years up to 2024. They could tie in that she was behind much evil in this world which forced people to find their faith in the church as humanity has been destroying itself. They could include modern events. She has brainwashed evil followers/ disciples in different countries to start wars resulting in Armageddon and worldwide destruction. I mean isn't that what is happening with the world today anyway. Evil people at the centre of wars, terrorism, religion, famine and humanities suffering.

Sam Neil's Damien said at the end of The Final Conflict ''You have won nothing.'. I'd like to see this come into play, mostly because of the cannon ending in such a way and the deciet of such a being as the devil himself it could all of been a red herring. The tv show Evil has some great ideas, and I think that the characters from this prequel not being around to combat Thorne's rise to power could be explained by them finding out he was more of a John the Baptist to the anti-christ rather than the actual son of the Satan. The 1980s weren't nearly as open to global influences as our modern era, I think that believing the threat was neutralised when really it was all part of a highly meticulous defence against those wishing to stop him by creating complacentcy would be fitting to the inhuman abilities of such an entity. After all self=preservation has been such a staple theme throughout all these films...it would make sense that even those watching the story unfold we also tricked. Like Jigsaw twists and Kaiser Sousa greatest trick the devil ever played having such cultural significance to this genre of story, there are clever and satisfying avenues to take it forward....Of course the mother of Damien will be a lot older, and Damien's twin may be used as a vehicle to uncovering how the church was ,manipulated way more than they could ever have imagined. We are talking about the most evil presence ever conceived, and after rewatching the original trilogy over the last few days I feel that much like how sometimes misdirection can lead to genuine awe by turning a story on it's head, the Omen truly deserves a modern WTF moment that breathes new life into the franchise, because I feel failing that it will suffer the 'We all know how this ends' chasm of obliviousness to whay we should care. Leaving the story unfinished is the only thing in my opinion that could truly reignite this franchise, and to do that we as a modern audience need to feel threatened, stupified and alarmed at what this entity is capable of.....as the true story unfolds without those corrupted priests or oligarchs of the religions, and stands as a presence for all of us to unite against and answer those questions that the biblical scriptures asked us on a more personal and anthropological level. Or they could just put a chick in it and make her gay!
