Im from Watseka and my great uncle and aunt owned the house that Lurancy had lived in. My aunt lost her mind while living in that house. There were definitely paranormal entities inhabiting that house. After my uncle died, my dad said they had a lot of things happen when they were trying to clean and get the house ready to sell. Cold spots, vacuum kept unplugging, voices, etc. I live close to both houses involved in this story. The Roff house still stands and is a few blocks away from mine. Both houses still stand.

Just one more spooky, yet comforting memory to share. After my mom had passed & 3 of her four adult kids were in the hospital room with her, we all went out of the room to attend to something else except my oldest sister. After a couple minutes she came out, her face beet red & said she’d just felt & seen out of the corner of her eye, my mom’s spirit move out of her body & fly up out of the room. What do you make of that!? This is the sensible, grounded sibling!

Both Mary's has very similar features.. The site of her grave gives me such a heavy feeling.. Strange vibes.. This was a great start to the Halloween season..

this is well known in illinois! I moved here and had no idea but my roommate who was born and raised in the st. charles area recounted it to me like it was a widely town tale. amazing

That cemetery is just one town over from me and I've passed that cemetery knowing it was old. Whow quite the story. RIP to all in that cemetery, Rancy and her husband and 11 children and little Mary.

Wow!! What an incredible story. I believe it, though. I've always said there's an opposite to everything. So if there are evil spirits, then there are also good ones. At least this girl was able to rid herself of the bad ones. Great story Ron! RIP to both of them ❤ 💐

Energy is a strong element and it's eternal while it constantly evolves as well. The potential for this to occur is present and I would believe it has occured. Science is great to explain the average concepts of life. Although, it still can't explain what occurs after death. When my Mom was dying with cancer, she went into an unconscious state. Towards the ending of her life she woke up and looked into space as though she was looking a someone or something. Maybe past family that had past on prior to her. It reminds me of the scene in the Sopranos' where Tony is hospitalized and then you see him walking up to a house with a party going on inside. I'd like to believe that's what my Mom was seeing when she past her past loved ones. Thank you, Ron. Be safe on your travels.

I grew up in Henning and Rossville just south of Watseka and the "Watseka Wonder" was the story that got me interested in the paranormal. Thanks for the memories, Ron!

Wow!! I believe it too Ron, there was so many attempts to debunk her story at the time. We don't truly know about the afterlife, so we are in no position to assume it was fake. The digital age has moved us away from all of this sadly. Human connection is lacking now.

Sounds like Epilepsy. I’m not a doctor but a mom with a child with severe epilepsy. Poor girl.

I have epilepsy and one of my nieces has a severe and rare form of epilepsy. I was thinking the same thing as you. Epilepsy is far more than uncontrollable body movements that most people know and associate with it. It is a miserable disease and causes many physical, mental, and neurological issues.

What an amazing story Ron. So fascinating! I too, believe it. Ever since my mom died there were too many things that happened that can’t be all coincidence, I have no doubt we are connected to the spirit world. I’ve often had premonitions, get messages from my parents through my dreams & just by talking to them out loud when I’m alone. Both my sisters have either some psychic abilities as well as me or connection to our parents & maybe others. I was an open minded sceptic before my mother passed. It’s a bit scary for me, but there it is

I was born in Watseka! The house is an Airbnb now, Drove by it last time I was home. She was also able to play the piano while possessed, something she couldn’t do.

I've never heard of Sunnyside Cemetery in Long Beach before until watching this video, I've heard of All Souls Cemetery(where Jenni Rivera is buried) and Forest Lawn of Long Beach(where Nate Dogg is buried). This story caught my attention, it was indeed super intriguing. Another great video Ron

The phenomenon of a disembodied spirit entering the body of another person is a real thing. It's called a "walk-in". It's not angry spirits, hungry ghosts or familiar spirits. It has been corroborated by credible, seasoned, experienced, respected energy healers. If the extent of such reported, documented walk-ins at the highest level of power in the world was disclosed, it would first require extensive background information which is not possible in a comment to a KZbin video. It would be a conspiracy theory, yes, but it's a true conspiracy theory based on credible sources. You have a knack for distinguishing between hoaxes and genuine spirit possessions. Thanks for sharing.

This was an intriguing story and it was quite a puzzle at times however it also seems quite valid. How sad that one of these girls died young in an asylum. Yet the other girl lived to be 88, married and had children plus apparently no relapses, at least none were mentioned. Very interesting and a tad creepy, thanks Ron ! 🎃🍂🍁
