This video was made my by incredibly talented friend, Gio. Gio and I decided to collaborate and host the video on my channel in order to help get more eyes on it. Sharing the stories of the Pokemon community is something I've been passionate about for a long time, and more than most of my content I'd really appreciate your help in doing so. Liking, commenting, and most importantly sharing the video on social media and with people you think would enjoy it could really help this video reach its full potential, and could help ensure we can make more of these. As is probably apparent, Gio put an unbelievable amount of work into this video, and the better the video does the more likely we are to be able to justify more of these. I'd like to give a huge thank you to Aaron as well for sharing his story and his time filming this. Said it on Twitter and I'll say it here too. Aaron is a genuinely down to earth human being who I've had the joy to interact and speak with during our time in the WBE. Regardless of how limited our interactions were, he was always a kind and supportive individual to me. Despite having no reason to do any of it. It's something I will never forget. So to see his journey. Everything leading up to where he is now. And the beautiful presentation of it all by Gio. It's honestly heartwarming. It's inspiring and only reaffirms my belief in the fact that he has deserved and earned every single bit of this. I'm so glad that this video was made for everybody, including myself to see. I hope he continues to find the utmost of success, happiness and the world title that's simply long overdue for him at this point. Amazing work! Hope to see much more of this bro!

Aaron, Wolfe, Ray, Sejun, they all got me into competitive Pokemon when I was in middle school around 2012 by watching their matches online. Even though I have never been to a live event because of my inability to travel frecuently and the part of the country I live, I've been following the scene for years because of them. Now I'm almost close to completing med school and feel like I've somehow been friends with you guys all this time, such a pleasure to see you all grow!

This is so good. I love Aaron's videos and I watch them practically every day. It's so refreshing to watch someone so positive and wholesome, breaking down the game in such an analytical way. Never tilting from bad RNG, acknowledging when luck helps him out, and talking through each turn and how to mitigate different RNG based mechanics. Luck stuff aside, he's such a helpful teacher and passionate player - and a super hype commentator! What an awesome video - thanks Gio and Aaron and Wolfe for collaborating and making this. It's so interesting to hear what it like to compete at such a high level from you who experienced it first hand.

Gio, your product is top notch, Wolfey, this is one of the best platforms i could imagine to host this on considering the growing popularity of the channel and the audience, and of course, Aaron, in a field with so much negativity and toxicity you are always by #1 go to for someone who looks on the bright side of things, regardless of how many will o wisps you miss.

This was absolutely beautiful, really inspiring. Three days ago, I told myself: "You have started to watch Wolfey and somehow competitive Pokémon has always been something you wanted to do but never started. Why not start now?" and yesterday I have successfully bred a perfect IV Cottonee with Prankster (still working on that nature tho!) and trust me, I felt like "wow this is already a step. It's a good step." I can imagine how some people might laugh "it's just one Pokémon with perfect IVs, nothing more" but to me this is a huge deal. Everybody starts at the bottom and this video showed me that no matter what: You can achieve big things if you try your best. Really excited for everything to come for me :)

I’ve never thought of Pokémon much in a serious light until about half a year ago - roughly when I found Wolfe’s channel. Now at 22, I love the idea of playing competitively, and wish I got involved when I was younger. I may not have had any success, but I would like to believe it would have given me the ability to enjoy competitive Pokémon much in the way Wolfe and Aaron do. Not only have they had fun from their youth playing a video game they care about, but they can continue to do so with the love and support of their individual communities and the Competitive community. While I don’t believe I’ll ever have the skills necessary to compete in a tournament, nor the ability to master and memorize certain facts and elements, I do still enjoy practicing, building teams (usually not very good ones, instead opting for silly, fun and thematic ones) and more. To both Wolfe and Aaron; thank you for continuing to showcase competitive Pokémon. People like me can still enjoy the thrill of competitive Pokémon without being good at it ourselves. Especially for people like me, who feel too old and inexperienced to start, we can enjoy high-stakes, high-intensity battles. Tournaments, random online battles, whatever it may be. Please continue all the hard work you’ve put in for the community (but don’t overwork yourselves)! We appreciate it, even if we don’t voice it, and maybe even more than you can imagine.

This is quite probably one of the most touching stories that I have seen. I remember when small 14-year-old me was watching the national championships and was like " I wanna get better at this", and Aaron's channel was the first one I found, and then in 2016 when Aaron was commentating and Wolfe won I was glued to my phone the whole time. Little did I know that 8-9 years later I would be in my senior year of college and still watching videos from the two of you. This video not only touches me because of Aaron's story, but also I got to take a look at my past and to see how you all have had an impact on me. I hope you all keep creating, and creating an impact, both in the community and outside of it. You all are great! Gio I hope you can make more videos like this, because I will for sure be watching them

I am glad finding this kinda content in Wolf's channel after browsing in his channel. I really loved watching VCG 2018 and re-watched some of 2016. I grew really attached to arron as a commentator. Thank you for all the hard work, everyone.

I'm happy you made this! Cybertron is for sure my favorite player! He taught me soo much and by watching his content I've become a player that realistically can crack the top 100 in the world in any given season! Not only that but his great attitude even when losing is sooo admirable! And he helps me sleep too I oftentimes throw on a r2r playlist to play in the background while i sleep! Three cheers for THE MAN AARON "CYBERTRON" ZHENG!

Incredibly high quality production, it felt like a Netflix special. A great story, super well told, genuinely brought me to tears. I loved seeing those little snippets of Traylor, Rizzo, Glick, and others too, that was very fun. Stunning content, keep it up!

While Wolfey and his vids made me interested into VGC some years back, it was Aaron vids, guides and his vgc series that i watched the most and learned from them, its so nice to see this video and how supportive this community can be, props to you Wolfey and Gio for making this video, its pretty entertaining and would be great to see more of this format

The quality of this video even gets back that suspense of these classic sets that I have seen, well, more than once. This interview does the GOAT of out game justice.
