Yessss - so much THIS. I struggled with a few situations several years ago that I was not prepared for emotionally. I didn’t even know how to describe what I was experiencing and ALL an internet search turned up was “how HR can support employees”….and nothing about HR struggling themselves. This is NOT talked about enough. Around the same time - I happened to be taking a graduate course surrounding Ethics in Healthcare and there are terms out there, that are usually attributed to nurses and doctors but perfectly described what I was going through. Moral Distress, Moral Residue, and Emotional Dysregulation. Once I understood what this was - I was able to search resources and equip myself to deal with it. While most of the resources out there discuss or are geared for healthcare professionals - it’s 100% not limited to those professions. Thank you for bringing attention and awareness to the (sometimes solitary) struggles HR professionals are working through!

I'm not in HR but I really didn't consider what HR would be going through not only in a pandemic but in general. More people need to see and hear this.
