Jackie, it's OK. Your dad's not gonna be upset if something happens. He's a racer he understands. My dad race stock cars and quarter-mile cars and he taught me. He died. I was 17 I got his 68 Z28 and I felt the same way and I end up totaling the car. But my mom told me that he would've rather me drive the car, race the car and wreck the car. Versus just letting the car just sit and collect dust. Enjoy the gift that you have from your father sweetie because that's what he would want. Godspeed.

I just wanted to leave a few more things with the two of you Jackie, I lost my father 10 years ago, and I had a lot in common with him as you do and did with your father. We loved the same music we rode together. He helped me build my dream car. 68. Chevelle. I also had a 85 LX FOX BODY AND HE WAS MECHANIC FOR 45 YEARS there was a lot of similarities with my relationship with my dad as I see with you and your father. I’m sure that his relationship with chief would’ve been an awesome one. I just wanted to say that, although I do have a lot of his belongings the one thing that is most important to me, nobody could ever ever take away “ MY MEMORIES “ Keep them with you at all times nothing but the best to the both of you !!! When I was a kid I would hand wash my grandpa's Harley and whatever new Cadillac my grandma had every time I visited. After he passed away the Harley was sold to a 90 year old (biker) woman that they traveled with every year. She rode the bike from FL to Az to visit and I had asked if I could wash it for her. I was gathering my buckets, sponges and such when she tossed me the keys and said to just take it to the car wash. It was the only time I had ever driven that bike and I remember crying like a baby. Anyway, fun fact. The only CTS-V I have ever driven was owned by my grandma. She's pretty bad ass.
