@@Overonator Most of the fresh water fish we keep as pets come from rivers, they just always like moving water. I'm guessing still water probably feels weird to them, probably means they're somewhere they shouldn't be, like lakes/ponds, where the fish are generally bigger, which is also why most of the fish we keep are from rivers.

Louis, not sure where else to post this so I’ll say it here. Please look into Lenovo and their ridiculous practice of putting S/N in motherboards. Had to repair a legion t5 desktop that the mobo died. Ordered a mobo FROM Lenovo and replaced it. Turn on the pc and no OS found due to invalid S/N. Technical support informs me that only Lenovo can write the SN in bios with a device only usable by Lenovo. They want me to pay $110 plus $40 for shipping to do the repair. Not to mention price I paid for cutdown junk of a mobo I already purchased from them and paid for shipping. Never a mention of this in the order or a disclaimer. Look into this anti consumer POS company. It’s a f*ckin mobo and they want to control everything. Will inform buyers to stay clear of them. Thanks.
@vadnegru2 ай бұрын
Maybe it's the problem with secure boot?
@stephenn5042 ай бұрын
@@vadnegru no, Lenovo support told me directly they need to write the sn in bios string. Only them or levnovo technician can do it. Only reason I decided to go with the same overpriced cut down barebones mobo was because the case has 4 proprietary cables and a proprietary cpu cooler which would cost the customer more than just replacing the mobo.
@pbasista2 ай бұрын
@@stephenn504 I would not blindly trust their claim that "Only them or levnovo technician can do it.". I would read it more in a sense that Lenovo wants you to think that only they can do it. They could, in theory, for example cryptographically sign their firmware and the motherboard hardware might be configured to only load it if the signature matches a few preconfigured ones that belong to Lenovo. But whether that is indeed the case remains to be seen. Also, maybe there is a way to bypass this. Plus, you might still be able to just change a few chips from the original motherboard and work-around the issue completely.
@stephenn5042 ай бұрын
@@pbasista I read a bunch of forums on Lenovo site and researched the issue. It does seem possible with a firmware update tool but I did not feel comfortable doing it without any guidance on it to end up breaking the customers motherboard. One of the main benefits of a desktop is being able to swap broken parts or upgrade. The point of my post it that Lenovo wants roughly $150 to write a SN into bios code and $150 for a POS motherboard to simply replace a motherboard is anti consumer. The case and cooler are proprietary which means you basically have to pay them to fix it. It’s out of warranty and they need to know what you’re doing with a product you purchased 5 years ago is ridiculous. I wasn’t looking for tips, I was just hoping Louise would just look into it. And call them out on it. Thanks for the advice but I told customer to send the mobo back don’t not to purchase Lenovo product again.

Louis - I am a fihkeeper for life, don't know, maybe you're too. But what I've learnt from owning a pond and having 6 fish tanks is that what you've got with the circulation of water is a good thing. Getting ,,waste" in one corner is beneficial - you can place a filter pickup there or when you do a water change you can take water from that dirty spot. I do water changes in my fishtanks every 2 weeks (about 30% of water) and my pond I do once a year after winter (it freezes over, I have to keep my waterfall running in order for it not to freeze over completely. Just my opinion - about the food going everywhere I don't have that problem in my pond because of waterlilies. They are good for many reasons - additional filtering of waste in the system, they keep sunlight in summer away from water, keeping the water cooler and birds can't really prey on your koi.

i have a 5200GPh pump going to an ultima ii filter, another 5200 GPH pump going to a giant waterfall with large mesh filter units in it just for picking up fish shit, and then a bunch of box filters on the bottom for grabbing shit off the bottom so the pond camera is clear there, and then a few for moving the water around in a circle in the corner before it gets shot out into the intake of the other two filters, two are streams above water just because they find that fun.
