I think it is always important to see what worked and what didn't for each work year, and then make adjustments. These 5 "changes" are a result of my yearly overview and I am looking forward to seeing how well they work once implemented. What about you, what are the changes you are making?

Q@A suggestion; My humble suggestion.😇 The time you only get a few questions, what about adding them to the end of your weekly video? It will extend the time of your video and be less editing. Editing for me takes so much time. Just a humble suggestion. :) Thank you Evelyn for the video!

I want to add another video, just to see what two a week is like, if I only get two questions per video, that's still 8 per month and if the video is still too short, I can add other thoughts into the video as well. Editing was stressful and time consuming but it is actually quite relaxing now. It also takes far less time than it used to. It's the old 10,000 hours thing.

photos: I have the same issue. Folders full of pictures, but not the one I need. I do keep my camera by the back door. Even then, it's either too dark or too bright. Sometimes I do surprise myself and get a good one.😇

That's why it's now on my "must do" list. It will be hard at this time of year though, not much to photograph.

@@canadian-gardening-6A Frost, ice and snow hasn't happened yet - except for one morning there was a very early frost on roofs back in Nov. The rains are pretty heavy right now and most plants look aweful. This time of year is pretty ugly outside right now - and slippery with all the mud - where I live. Great time for indoor activities. That said, there are ski hills nearby for people that like to ski - I don't.

I hope I can trial them this year, I can't find any available right now, and you have started yours already. In fact, on Johnny's site, all but one of the ones I wanted to purchase are not available yet. How late do you think I can wait before starting the?

@EvelynM-vlogs send me your address, I have more then enough. I can spare 100 and the shipping is very inexpensive. I didn't start mine yet. It's 6-8 weeks before last frost.

@@EvelynM-vlogs I wrote a response but it's been swallowed by the Internet. If you can't find some, I can send a few for trial since I have more than enough. I start them 6-8 weeks before last frost.

I like the look of Dara. I have wild "Queen Anne's Lace" that I really like. They are good cut flowers and last a long time. I just have to cut them back before they go to seed.

@@EvelynM-vlogs - you need to take a ride to the country. :) You can see them on the side of the road - and most people call them weeds. Queen Anne's Lace blooms - are white. Some people know "Queen Anne's Lace" by Wild Carrot. Dara is a cultivar of Queen's Anne's Lace with dark chocolate flowers. Wonder if Dara is perennial or biennial?
@EvelynM-vlogs

@@canadian-gardening-6A OK, then I have seen Queen Anne's Lace, but I am assuming it is like most "wild" flowers verses cultivars. The wild ones in the poor soil just never look as good as the cultivars in well conditioned soil. For example, wild daisies and the daisies that grow in my garden are completely different in size.

Strawberries: What about putting some plants in pots for Ayla and Ezri? My issue are critters like rodents. I am going to give it another year and make different cages with smaller holes of hardware cloth.
@EvelynM-vlogs
@EvelynM-vlogs 24 күн бұрын
They eat very well, and even get a cut up apple for a treat every evening, they won't miss the strawberries. They don't get them anyway under the bird netting. For whatever reason rodents do not get at any of my food plants, but they do like the poppy pods.
