You sir are a great man. I was having this exact same issue. You saved me a ton of grief sending my spear back into Sig Thank very much for the video. Much appreciated:)

Amazing how they are sending them out like this, or the shops they go to don’t know what they are doing! Very glad this helped you and I hope you’re enjoying your spear!

I told ya yesterday bro that the gas setting wasn't in the correct position and low and behold.. Glad its running good for you now !!

You were absolutely right! I just didn’t have a clue as to what the right position was lol. I never messed with the gas valve so I assumed it was fine. Thank you for your help!

@@MightyGunzTV yes sir you're welcome! That's crazy that the gas valve was out of whack from factory. Enjoy your Spear, I love mine !!

@@patriotgunner some would not be surprised if it did come like that from factory considering the manufacturer and their recent reputation lol.

Since we didn’t know the gun comes with the muzzle device roxcet’d on, we initially pulled extremely hard to remove it, to change for a warcomp. Eventually we used some heat, and it came off, worked fine for maybe 500-1000 rounds, unsure exactly ; all I know is one day, the charging handle / bcg COMPLETELY froze (11.5” 5.56), and had to be mortared after every shot. Sig had me send it back, told me that when we took the muzzle device off, the barrel spun in place, causing some screws or studs to poke through into the upper receiver, thus allowing the barrel to spin freely, which would lead to the freezing CH / BCG issue. They were positive about this being the cause, and gave me a fair price on a new upper receiver to replace it. Got it back, zeroed it with no problem, thrilled. Under 100 rounds later ? Frozen solid. Gonna send it back again but now I’m genuinely scared to trust my life to this thing.

Holy crap! That really sucks. Especially after having to spend money on a new one since they blamed you for the problem. They should refund you!

Something similar is happening to my rattler, disassembled and cleaned it hopefully it runs after,really don’t want to send it back to sig. also bullshit how this is happening to guns that cost almost 3k!!!
@MightyGunzTV7 ай бұрын
I agree 💯 %! Shouldn’t be happening. My gas block was loose and not properly seated. What issues are you having?
@smiledoge49687 ай бұрын
@@MightyGunzTV failure to feed/extract like it was under gassed, tried both gas settings didn’t work. Took it apart cleaned it and the only thing I noticed was the piston was extremely tight, I had to remove it with a punch and also install it with a punch, is that normal?

Sig really needs to work on their quality control.

No eye pro? Inexperience is showing 🤦🏻♂️

You are correct, my experience grows over time and at that point I was pissed and more concerned about the rifle functioning and forgot my eye pro. Appreciate the feedback!
