I apologize that this took so long to get out, but I finally got a version that wasn't blocked by copyright. It's finally here. My final video talking about this show. It's been a wild ride, and with this video, I have spent over 5 hours talking about this. Season 9 is the final season, and so after looking back at the other 8 seasons, it's only fitting that I take a look at the last one. I think it's worth the entire season just for s9e9 and s9e10. Amazing epsiodes Although it's REALLY weird that Thawne KNOWS that Barry knew he would be stuck in 2000. If I were Thawne I'd start making backup plans left and right because if Barry knew this it means my plan for 2014/2015 doesn't work....

The episode where Oliver came back in season 9 should have been the REAL finale. It was poetic given that in the very first episode of the show, Oliver gives the same speech as he did in episode 9 of the final season, as well as bringing back Oliver for what should have been the final season of the arrowverse. The man that started it, also ended it, with Barry, the man who brought the arrowverse to new heights. It would have been perfect. As well as finally closing the cliffhanger for Bloodwork finally coming back and being defeated for good. Episode 9 and 10 were legitimately pretty good and should have been the focus of the season, especially episode 10. But instead we got a pathetically written story arch including multiple episodes of filler in the final (and shortest) season of The Flash, Colebolt Blue was poorly acted and written as the show's final main antagonist, Barry just gives his Speed to a bunch of "smart and kind" people at the end of the season for no reason and no build up at all. Like we haven't seen "good" people with super speed eventually become villains in the overtime (Thawne, Savitar). Super speed being one of the most dangerous and powerful meta abilities there is, it doesn't matter how much you think you know somebody or how many acts of kindness they've done for the world, giving MULTIPLE people super speed is a completely nonsensical idea, not to mention that Barry never gives any hints that he wants to stop being the Flash, even for his daughter, so giving speed to other people makes no sense. Red Death has to be one of the single worst adaptations of a comicbook villain that I've ever seen. First of all, I get that the CW can't use Batman, but simply put... "If you can't do it right, don't do it at all". But the writers clearly have never heard of this quote before and decided to make the cringiest, most nonthreatening big bad this show has ever had. Batwoman is not interesting nor should she have been the one to be Red Death. If anything, it should have been somekind of doppelganger/evil version of Oliver or something. It would have made more sense and gave the character more depth with his rivalry with Barry given that Red Death is Oliver... Yeah but that didn't happen because "reasons" I guess. And don't even get me started on what they did to Caitlin this season. Overall, I think I can speak for most of the Flash fanbase when I say that we're not even mad, or disappointed at this point with the show... At this point it's like seeing dying road kill on the side of the street... SAD... It's just been kinda sad to see what this show has become, when we all know it could of been and should have been so much better if the show runners knew what they were doing. Coulda, woulda, shoulda... I guess, but none of it matters anymore. These last few season I honestly think that the quality of the show being so bad isn't just because the show runners aren't trying... But it's simply because they legitimately don't know what they are doing anymore. It could be due to a lack of skill or talent... But I honestly don't know. I've literally grown up with the Flash since I was 10 years old, and now I'm 19. So, it will always have a special place in my heart. Just sucks to see how it ended up, you know...

I think that having Oliver as Red Death would've made the actual return of Oliver a lot more impactful... but Batwoman Red Death wasnt a terrible idea... it was just executed very poorly. I liked Cobalt Blue's acting, but again, poor execution. Episodes 9 and 10 were definitely the best of the season, and should've been the main focus, and I personally have some ideas as to how this season could've been executed a whole lot better than it was... but oh well, maybe I'll make a "Flash season 9 rewritten" video at some point.

I meant the "I wanna hear you say it" was a callback to season 3, because thats what he said when Barry asked him to fix flashpoint. I dont know if the "delicious" was a callback to anything

Even with Eddie running in that weird way in the final episode is still 100x times better than the stupid way that Ezra Miller's Flash runs... Congratulations man, you made a great series reviewing every simple aspect of the show, and I feel bad for you for having to watch seasons 5-9, where the show becames completely insufferable to me. At that point the show becames a cheap soap opera drama with so many side characters and exagereted focus on them that Barry was not even the protagonist anymore, and was not a superhero show anymore either, we barely see Barry as The Flash or anything important of Flash's mythology. I gave up on season 6 but for me the last season of The Flash when was still a show about Flash was season 3, even though it's not a very season at least concludes Barry's arc, with him going to the Speed Force ready to sacrifice himself for a greater good in order to repair his mistakes across all those initial 3 years, and plus the name of the final episode of season 3 is "Finish Line" the perfect title for the end of a Flash story. That being said, seasons 1 & 2 are peak superhero TV, and even with the CW limitations the creators behind those early years manage to create something special to Flash fans that honored the character's story. Those seasons will always be in my heart and I love rewatch them from time to time.

One minor point about the final flash thawne 2000 confrontation, i wish theyd included season 2 barry tackling thawne and knocking him out before another thawne appears, the two disappear and then season 9 barry continues. Idk if its needed bit would be cool

sometimes yes, but the characters heavily relied on using lightning throws against other speedsters, when it was established early on that speedsters have ways of dodging or countering the lightning toss

That blue crystal never gets explained and is called cobalt-97 Id have loved if that was just a blue reverse philosophers stone. Calcified negative speed force energy, instead of savitar possessing someone from within the speedforce, instead it being the negative speedforce itself doing it.

Btw a lot of the fake deaths aren't even fake, some of them show up as visions or holograms. The others came back from timeline changes

the way I see it, if they present someone as dying, and then change that back to the status quo, whether it's through time travel or wherever, it's fake. they're using the shock factor of those deaths without following through
