I’m not sure if anyone caught onto to this but in the flashbacks to 2013 of Caitlin and Ronnie, Ronnie said how Cisco made him wait in line for the new Call of Duty game. The call of duty game that came out in 2013 was Call of Duty Ghosts, and Deathstorm/sorta Ronnie was essentially a ghost for the vast majority of the arc. I’m not sure if that reference was intentional or not but it’s pretty cool

The build up to Deathstorm probably would have been perfect if not for one thing. Better foreshadowing. Deathstorm was foreshadowed well you could argue. But Ronnie himself wasn't. Like they could have set it up better maybe Have Caitlin mention Ronnie in an earlier episode Like when she was on her date or something. And then maybe add to that with her looking at a photo of them together and reminiscing as she starts a new chapter in her love life. Some subtle build up that maybe would have added to the reveal and make the story feel more natural and less contrived maybe. When bringing back a long gone character you probably should set it up right With subtle build up like I said. Saying it without directly saying it. That way it's still kinda surprising when it does happen

I’m not going to lie he is still probably my favorite villain since Zoom. Like I enjoy him way more than anyone except Reverse Flash and Zoom. He is menacing, he looks cool, and low key scary. The plus I think bringing Robbie Amell back to play him was awesome. He was one of my favorite parts of season 1 and I was so sad when he dies and was replaced with Jax. I think the point of having Frost take him down was established way before when Barry could not do anything against it. I do agree they just should have had Caitlin die as well. Maybe change the plot a bit before and have Ronnie return mysteriously but for some reason he was brought back then have Ronnie and Deathstorm as two different entities and they both must die making all four of them including Caitlin and Frost die as well. Making it so Caitlin can finally be with Ronnie in the place above. Perfect ending to Caitlin’s character.

I'm a bit worried now going into the final episodes it looks like they're going back to the forces. And I really miss the original cast, the show just doesn't feel the same without them. I think this ark is about the level of season 4 which seeing how I like season 4 it is a good thing. It gave iris something to do that isn't just telling barry what to do which is one of the things I don't like about season 4 . It also answered a question that I didn't know I wanted an answer to. I liked this arc, it wasn’t the best the show has given us but it wasn’t as bad as previous storylines. The build up to the reveal Deathstorm was great even though it was obvious due to interviews and announcements, and his design was amazing and a lot better than I thought it was gonna be. There’s definitely more they could’ve done with Deathstorm as a villain after he got his true form and honestly I think it was a budget reason. It’s clear that the vfx for Deathstorm were done differently than the vfx for Despero earlier this season; for Despero the actor, Tony Curran, was in a mo-cap suit for the scenes when Despero was in his true form, it doesn’t seem like they did the same thing with Robbie Amell, one thing to notice is that his jaw didn’t move when he talked. The final fight against Deathstorm was underwhelming as it was quick and that Barry wasn’t present for it. Hellfrost’s design wasn’t that great since it was just the Frost suit with different color hair which felt like a budget issue. Her death felt kinda rushed and forced and didn’t hit as hard as they wanted it to, and part of it was due to the fact that they revealed by episode 14’s title and in interviews that someone would die at the end of the arc and it was obvious that it would be Frost. Cecile’s powers were so inconsistent here. This arc wasn’t bad but it could’ve been better had they had more of a budget for it.

There's something I want to mention about Frost's death that really made me facepalm. Despite that her awful love with Chillblaine was established last year, their relationship didn't really start until after Armaggedon. Not to mention it feels like they started dating out of nowhere. So they haven't even been a thing for ten episodes and then.....the show just killed her off soon after setting up something for her character. I don't know how to explain my issue clearly. See I'm not mad because they killed off a character I cared about and ruined a good romance or anything like that. What baffles me is that the writing of this show set up a new story for a character and tried to build on it for only a year now, but then the character just died when that story just came into fruition. Now that love story between Frost and Chillblaine is all for nothing.....unless the show does the "bring people back from the dead cliche" and makes Frost's death pointless. It feels like I'm spit-balling here, sorry if you can't understand my point. Bottom line is my issue isn't because I'm sad they killed off someone I like. What's worse is that Chillblaine is a pretty shallow character to begin with.

Good thing it's mostly been a background thing with little emphasis. If it was more emphatic I think it would be insufferable. That's the only reason I haven't been super emotional or hardcore about it as I probably could have been Frost dating a murderer who literally just killed someone practically yesterday without any type of remorse shown for it and the writers' idea of redemption is to simply pardon him with the government and it's all good. Let's accept him and welcome him solely off of that. Which seems hardly any different than certain past redemption stories in this universe where literal killers get embraced and/or accepted and/or pardoned despite doing heinous despicable things. Trust and acceptance shouldn't come that easy after those type of things. Some would argue not at all. Depends on the circumstances Forgiveness is one thing. Trust and acceptance are different. I can forgive but I'm probably not gonna accept or be friends with people who've done stuff like that. I don't think most of society would be willing to either and would rather them be behind bars.

The whole Deathstorm arc was such a let down, they could have made the arc for the whole season and maybe serve as the show's 'In Blackest Night' event. Overall it was good but could have been so much more especially with the way Deathstorm was defeated, it just felt disappointing. I know this isn’t in Death Revisited but can we please talk about how good the Excessive Impulsive Disorder episode was? It was genuinely fun and really well written, especially for dealing with two sibling speedsters, it has all the recipe for disaster, but ever since season 7’s revamp of Nora and addition of Bart, they’ve been written pretty well, even considering the poop that we had to sludge through in 7, Bart’s anger and impulsiveness was mostly well written out despite the scenario, and maybe that’s a testament to Jordan Fisher as an actor because it felt really good to me, and now that Nora isn’t a whiney 20 something that acts like a literal child, she can really be the cool, responsible older sister who’s still learning and trying to live up to the legacy of her parents that is perfect to offset Bart, that episode made me really excited for a potential spin-off with them, and even though I don’t really care for Mia, I could see that new team Flash and team Arrow Also one more thing, Bart and Nora were so competent, given them having accelerated knowledge but minimal experience, I think their characterization made perfect sense, they worked well but they still made mistakes due to character flaws, but through their own grit and growth they could go back and fix what they messed up, it made them feel like genuine characters and genuine people, you could see these were young heroes trying to fill big shoes while still learning their own way, yea I know they ended up asking Avery for help but it’s not like these heroes literally can’t be assisted, it just has to be in moderation and we have to see first that they can walk and breathe on their own, only getting help from who they need, when they need, even with Avery they still had to make discoveries and do work, plus it made for a cute potential relationship with Bart, even with the potentially weird time stuff with living decades apart, anyway yea, if the flash does get cancelled give Bart and Nora a spin-off and give them whoever wrote this episode

I honestly like Chester, I think he's a good replacement for Cisco and he's kinda interesting. Allegra's fine, she's really a Wells replacement but, meh, shes tolerable. I hate that they've been making those two like each other for 2 seasons and nothing is happening, they have chemistry, or, had, But now its just stupid and you're just like "so they havent slept together?". Cecile is the worst character on any flash season. Everytime she says something related to her powers it makes me want to punch her in the face, and now she's a field agent? She was fine in s4, not good, but fine. Commenting justify really getting to the media the video but honestly barring just like budgetary realities my biggest problem with the death Storm atc get a longer time thinking the character was just back. Actually I think this arc was great cuz every1 got good characterization, iris wasnt too bad like previous seasons, sue wasnt too annoying she was fine, frost got good characterization, it felt like she was real person and i actually felt her death touch me, chester and allegra werent too bad, they werent annoying and that was fine by me and caitlin even tho she has been useless even she felt like some what important to the story

Wow you have such freaking high expectations of The Flash. No show is ever the same every season. The theme changes with the villain. While some of them has poor writing, the deathstorm arc definitely stands strong together with Bloodwork arc as it really changes the dynamic of Team Flash forever, as seen in the repercussions in episode 14
