Originally, I didn’t like the idea of Eddie being a villain, but thinking about it, Eddie being the NSF avatar is very perfect honestly. Iris is no question his “lightning rod” (more so than Eobard in Armageddon), and the hate he is going to have for Barry is pretty reasonable when you think about it. Eobard hated Barry for stealing his spotlight, but for Eddie, it’s gonna break him when he learns that Barry is living the life he wanted to have with Iris.

Though this episode focused on the weak supporting cast, it was handled fine, I didn’t enjoy every scene but the speed force and mark scene was fine, and Malcom learning that he’s Eddie was great. Cobalt Blue is starting to get very interesting. I love the progression with Malcom and the negative speed force.

What annoyed me most about this episode is that when Eddie found out who he was again, instead of just calling back to the line "There's no such thing as a coincidence" from season 1, which would've been a good fan service moment, they ruined by showing the actual moment from season 1 and then having him repeat it. It was so stupid. It made me feel like Eric thinks we're too stupid to understand a little call back to the beginnings.

I’m curious now that Eddie has his memories back, is he truly gonna be evil during this arc or will he be redeemed by the end of it? I sure hope he will be redeemed cuz we all know the true Eddie wasn’t like this in the old timeline he was originally from when he sacrificed himself but now he could easily stay a villain even after the negative speedforce is done with. But I hope that’s not the case and he can live peacefully at the end and maybe rejoin the team if he wants.

I am so excited for Eddie/whoever the heck he is to make a return. For real I never fell as hard for a ship like i did with Eddie and Iris. Darn, he was good to her. Ik WestAllen was meant all along. But it broke my heart when we got that death scene. Also what made me cry even more was when Barry recorded Eddie talking to iris.. i died. I miss Caitlin, Cisco, Joe and Harry.. the show went down hill after s3.. sad BUT curious to see how things will end.

Man after two back to back bangers I thought Season 9 was going to finally redeem itself and then we got this snooze fest. With the title a New World and how basically Barry travelled back in time to make small changes to the Night of Nora's murder, I assumed the Timeline was in a state of flux and that's why the lightning struck Eddie's doppelganger, because the Eobard from 2000 now changed something. I certainly did not expect a Flashless episode and a story set in the present with Team Flash. The whole whodunnit idea this late in the Season, especially when it's a 4 Part Series Finale, is completely stupid. I'm trying to reassure myself that the reason for this filler is they needed more budget for the final two episodes and so this one needed to waste time somehow. I hope the last two episodes pull through.

This episode was supposed to take place during the same time that Barry was in the past with Thawn , a second perspective. This would make sense for Barry not to be in the episode until the end because we seen his perspective in the previous episode and everything would tie in together at the end when he returned home.

Grant Gustin got COVID about 3 weeks before the show was supposed to end filiming. I'm pretty sure he confirmed it on Instagram about how he successfully avoided it for 3 years but got it right before the show's filming ended. Edit: Nevermind, it was actually 6 days before they wrapped filming, so it probably only affected the series finale and not this episode. Grant said that he and Teddy were supposed to shoot a scene together but it had to be changed.

Maybe if they mixed the previous and this one into two episodes but showing what's happening as it gradually happened, parallel to each time period and not separated into Flash/Team Flash episodes. But having seen some terrible episodes since after Crisis this one was good. It may not have featured the Flash but at least it mattered to the story arc with Malcom, the Negative Speed Force etc and there were no stupid dialogues that I can remember (like "why I don't love love..." in Armageddon)... So if not a 9/10 it would be above 7 at least (I'd say an 8 is fair).

To be honest i actually liked that episode. I liked the birth part and the Eddie/Malcolm part's were very interesting too. However the show still has really angered me because now people literally have to ask if *BARRY ALLEN* is going to be in *HIS SHOW*

I still don't understand why people were both confused and complaining about the second part of the 4 part finale needing to be about what was happening while Barry was time displaced. It's literally why Barry just conveniently pops up at the end only to poof away again. The episode starts from the moment he disappears. The team has their own stuff to work through with another Negative Speed Force attack which is what *should* be happening because they're now vulnerable with out him. Barry shows up briefly before the end to demonstrate that. It's simply things happening at the same time.

I am thinking this is The Time Traveler's Wife situation where Barry will continue to hop through time until he lands in a different universe altogether while Eddie raises Nora with Iris. Why make Eddie evil at all. He died a hero and it was the perfect send off. His character is brought back to be ruined by being a villain in S9?

The Eddie flashbacks were important in order to show what aspects of his previous life he remembers, and him trying to piece together who he was. This will undoubtedly affect how his future actions. The flashbacks that relate to characters that are not Eddie can be cut.

@@ViewtifulDeath Cecile’s empathic powers gives the writers the justification for her telling feelings to the characters, and thus removes much needed subtlety and characters keeping parts of themselves hidden. Imagine in season 1 if Cecile had this power and was in the presence of Eobard Thawne (pretending to be Wells), I doubt that there will be a sense of mystery.

I swear bruh, this new supporting cast ruined the show, Cecile, Allegra, Chester, Blaine, hell even Caitlin/Frost, who is beyond repair at this point, literally no one cares about these people whose function is react to a screen and spit cringy dialogue lines. I'll accept anything over them at this point, even Iris becomes an interesting character if compared to these guys.

I just can’t get on board with Khione. She’s just plot armor for team flash and I just can’t care about her character when she just got introduced in the last season and we will never see her again. Just doesn’t feel deserving to play such a big role and I assume Barry is gonna lose unless she helps. I wish the just kept Caitlin and found a good way to end her storyline. Grant had covid during this time. He said it in an interview and he said that he wouldn't be in the episode much. So, many people were already aware that he wouldn't be much present in this episode. No need to make a big deal out of it. The episode was still good since we got a progression on Khionne and Eddie story.

Bruh it’s flashless for a reason this time because, it was happening at the same time as episode 10 that’s why he came back when he did, they clearly showed this when they were showing the joe and Barry fight. It wasn’t supposed to be a flashback it was supposed to be something that happened right in that moment telling you where he was.

Was Malcolm's timeline explicitly mentioned as 2049 anywhere. The police officer (probably captain) says she worked with Eddie Thawne. Eddie died in 2015. That is 34 years. No way she is in her later 50s or early 60s

I got use to flashbacks because of Naruto which could have flashbacks for sometimes a whole season 😂😂😂 like literally I believe there was a season or actually a few seasons that were just one giant flashback for the full season and a few seasons that were all filler episodes and flashbacks involved as well in those filler episodes.
