Season 2 had a better set up for that, the death of Ronnie making him push everyone away. Caitlin could have been absorbed in grief leading to her becoming Killer frost, Cisco being the tech guy who comes in every few episodes, Joe staying in the CCPD and helping Barry gather info on metas.

People always say the biggest problem with the show was having a team, but the team WAS the show. Caitlin, Cisco, and Wells made season 1 what it was. The problem is, like you said, as he got more powerful the writers had no idea how to incorporate him into a team where it made sense. They should've given Barry a leader role starting in season 3. Maybe it would've made Kid Flash stay longer if the actor had something to do with Barry being his mentor (instead of forgetting he exists bc Barry needs to be mentored). The status quo of the team was kinda needed if they wanted to make it to 9 seasons, they just needed to let go of Barry being the student every episode.

For me, it's when they refuse to let Reverse Flash die in season 1. When he came back in season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow, it made sense at least. Other times became nonsensical. I also think Iris should've actually died in season 3. Nothing against Iris personally, but her death could be a true test of Barry's character. After learning about two different but equally dark outcomes of what could happen if Iris did die, he refuses both paths and still vows to not let that particular pain and trauma define him ever again. Ergo season 3 ends and season 4 begins mostly the same. Everything from season 5 onward felt like an utter nosedive.

Personally...i didnt care for wally. Its fine if you introduce him in an episode or two but i really hated him coming back all the time. Nora was cool but she again kept coming back too much. His suit change sucked. They didnt expand on good characters like Sysco. He gets his powers yet does really nothing with them. And just overall you could feel i the later seasons that they were running out of ideas and budget. And the whole thing started to feel cheap and rushed. Main problem is that actors dont want to play the same role for 10 plus years. They want to do other things. And i cant blame them, but when Arrow was rushed to an end, it felt like the rest of the arrowverse died with it. Which sucked cause i liked the whole arrowverse. On a totally unrelated note, im still hoping they one day bring back Sliders. Just imagine what they could do with that with todays technology. /sigh

The final did made sense when you consider the mains OG villains speedster are pretty weak compared to how much team flash grow. Their only strength at the time was to outnumbered Barry, which made necessary to have a team (so they could have multiple battle simultaneously). But if Barry could have fight them one after the other... It would have been easy peasy

Another thing i hated is them taking away Cisco's powers and having him make a whole suit to duplicate said powers. It would honestly make more sense of Cicada was the one to take away his powers and then you can have him go on about how he doesn't feel special without his powers and have his friend and girlfriend help him through that. But to have him lose his powers and then make a suit is just plain dumb to me

4:50 What really worked the first 3 seasons was the horror element : Reverse Flash attacked Barry personally , on Christmas Day or close enough after Barry have been relaxed and confident starting out. After that nightmare was barely managed and with casualties , his would be rival friend. Zoom brought a new horror element : Dude , i dont h8 you , i just want to k@ll and destroy and it was more about Team Flash trying to give a motivation to Zoom to try and soften him , however there isnt always a reason for why you do evil stuff it s humanity. Some people are born or made evil that s just it. Season 3 worked ( a bit ) because Flash was being beat down without the possibility of fighting back. Zoom was real and Barry did fight back a little. Reverse Flash was his violator/pederast the one he trusted. Zoom was the mad dog with better bite and muscles and hunting experience. Savitar started out like a plague of The Speed fore gutting for Barry but why season 3 worked ( mostly ) we where not sure Savitar was real. When Barry felt like winning , Savitar inflicts the horror on Wally but Savitar escaping the Speed Force was his downfall . He escaped 2 quickly , way 2 fast

I agree with you the only thing I care about the later season was watching the flash but in season nine he was barely there and that was the big letdown for the final season in arrow even though we all have team arrow, but the main focus was on Oliver and Chris during that time so I feel like arrow he’s a finale was better because they were just focused on the main character even though there are side characters involved, but they mainly focus on Oliver

forme it was season 5 i think. when the show about redemption arcs fired the actor for the elongated man over words he said back when. the characters can be redeemed buut not the real life human? no thank you, thats a veery bad message to send to children and this show is a childrens show as its based on comic book characters who were made specifically for children. outside of that it started pushing more liberal agendas in thew stories and it got pretty boring once we all started seeing the show for what it was. this is the best version of the character flash, grant owns this role. too bad the show was mired in so much hate

I think season 2 was so good casue Barry actually had an interesting love interest who wasnt his adopted sister, and made smart choices with good detective skills, mean while we get teased on iris's death, she takes over team flash in season 4, forces him to get into couples therapy for "Leaving her" even after she knows if he didnt go the speed force was gonna destroy the city, made them stop looking for a way to bring him back, willingly gave herself up to the robot, gave hell to him for pushimg nora away knowimg damn well nora didnt like her cause of how she raised her and that nora was working with the reverse flash who killed his mom, she was terrible dont get me wrong i have no issuses with her actress or with her character in other media just the potrayal of the charcter wasnt good

Great Video you must have put a lot of work in it BUT i disagree with you i think Season 1-3 are PEAK and for me Speedster Villian in a fucking Speedster Show schould have been a must, i understand if someone wants something new but think about it with barry speed considered it only makes sense him to have a enemy which has same or more speed. Eric Wallace destroyed the Flash but anyway Season 4 was okay but meh. Season 5 was somehow interesting because of Nora and Ciacada but after some time meh. Season 6 except for Season 9 is for me worst because Bloodwork SUCKS.
