This Flip and Slide is not rocket science. It's just a simple teeter-todder mechanism. So a knock-off would not be unreasonable for anyone to use if the price is much better than the orginal. This idea is so unoriginal and unsophisticated with no proprietary technology that I don't think it is even patentable. Thus, I am a little suspicious of your results.

I purchased a Flip-N-Slide for everyone in my family, but I went right to the manufacturer, I don't know what happened to Amazon, but the last couple of years they have been selling knock-offs of a lot of products. The funny thing is I'm most happy when there are no mice in the Flip-N-Slide, We keep them in the basement just in case a mouse find their way into the house, Thanks for your channel it is always informative as well as entertaining.

I have the flip and slide and the peanut butter runs down the front of the top and makes the flip platform stick. It would be great if they modified it to have a bait tray moulded into the front part of the trap. That way it would hold the peanut butter and stop it from dripping into the bucket and on the flipper.

Those turkey buzzards are everywhere. They are very graceful when they ride the thermals to look for roadkill. I once saw a bird by the side of the road, and it was hanging around a road-killed fox and sort of pecking at it. I know turkeys are mostly herbivorous, but as I looked more, I realized it was a vulture. I hope it enjoyed the fox.

Do you (or anyone reading this) ever have problems with human scent on the traps? I have a traditional have-a-heart trap and the mice avoid it like the plague, and read that mice will avoid things that smell like people. I've watched about a dozen of your trap vids and your lack of gloves never seems to interfere with the mice's willingness to approach them. I'm also super paranoid about hantavirus and noticed you don't glove up when releasing deer mice. Is there a reason for that? Is it possible my gloving is actually interfering with my ability to catch?

So a deer mouse isn't invasive if its caught inside the house?
@hannahjsdavis1644
@hannahjsdavis1644 Жыл бұрын
No. Invasive is a term used to describe an animal or plant that is not native, overwhelms, and causes damage, to a natural ecological area by outcompeting for resources such as food or water and leads to the decline or extinction of native species. Cats are a good example. If you're thinking of an overabundance of a native or non-native species in a singular location, that's an infestation.
