I think what makes losing a Pet worse is that we usually get them young, so to them we are (figuratively) their entire world, where as they are never part of our lives long enough. The first time I really had to deal with death was when our cat had to be put down, I had a really special relationship with him not just because he was part of my life for so long, but because he was with me as I grew up, he was born before me, he was basically a sibling. So sorry about your cat, man. They truly are family. I just lost one of my best friends Christina to cancer after a long battle that ended on the 28th. She loved Halo and played with us almost to the very end despite her suffering. Don't even know why I'm typing this here. I just love her and miss her so damn much and playing halo without her really hurts, let alone trying to go on living without her love and joy in the world. She was an angel to so many people.

They were purposely meant to lure their prey in for the slaughter. Similar to what occurred in Halo NIghtfall where in the distance are lekgoloworms mimicking the form of a human they killed. Or were foreshadowing the spirits. Later on. Potentially both.

I got the chance to play-test this pre-release. I really enjoyed the overall unsettling atmosphere (with hallucinations really upping the creep factor throughout) and seeing how previously familiar maps were re-contextualize in such interesting ways. A higher expense wouldn’t be the cause of a hypothetical Spartan program not gaining wider use if you are talking about a humanity well established among the stars and unburdened by scarcity enough to make starships. As a cat person, I feel your pain Xperia. Over 10 years ago I lost a cat that was very dear to me, her name was also Maggie which makes this hurt even more, and that pain never left my heart. The campaign here was really cool. It's not just a basic Flood campaign, it's got so much lore to it. And the new Flood forms in this mod are grotesque and beautiful at the same time. I love the levels and how they blend the original ODST levels with assets and portions of Halo 3 levels, and even multiplayer maps. And the panning cutscenes really help sell the atmosphere of levels before you jump into them feet first. This is truly an incredible campaign mod.
