He has no education and doesn't have ANY way of accurately detecting that cancer, or formally referring you to a professional, or any pathology labs to send samples to. He gives you a clean bill of health, and you miss the window where you could've caught the cancer before it was too late. It spreads, and by the time you manage to get to a REAL doctor, there's not much you can do. Because he was "trying to help", his incompetence has endangered anyone who has seen him. It's incredibly dangerous to mislead people about your expertise or mislead them into thinking that you can accurately diagnose and treat them.

I worked as a door-to-door fiber Internet salesman and they had me doing exactly that, I was a contractor on behalf of the phone company for the area so I was technically allowed to be wherever as a utility employee though. It opened a lot of doors, literally. The trick was getting those doors to STAY open though, nobody likes change.

Malachi's story reminds me of Frank Abagnale Jr, who was infamous for also being 17 and impersonating a substitute teacher for like 2 weeks before getting caught, and went on to impersonate a doctor, FBI agent, a PILOT (!!) at one point before he was chased down and caught by a pursuing FBI agent.

I really think its a form of mental disorder. My parents told me multiple times about a guy (already ded) of one of the older families of the town whose brother had to constantly be over them because at the minimun they were pulling this kind of things. Most of the town knew not to believe him, but at the minimun slip up the guy would dissappear and return home with lots of cash, be from some scheme or just straight walking into a random bank and convince them to financiate some "new entrepeneurial project" he had pitched to them

I don't know what the regulations are in the USA but in the UK no male Dr can do a pap smear test without a female doctor or registered nurse in the room. Not just for the woman's safety but also so that there is a witness to the fact that he did not assault her....there needs to be safety measures for all parties. The fact that there may be practices in America that allow men to examine a woman vaginally totally alone is just wrong all round....

Personally, my worst experiences with gynecologists have been with women, while my male gynecologists were great. That's purely anecdotal, ofc, and others may have the opposite experience, but most male doctors and nurses are not perverts or bad at their jobs.

Freight is pronounced 'fr-ATE' not fright, fascinating video though - i remember when the initial news coverage first started but i had always assumed he'd be in jail for a decade at least, pretending to be a doctor holds the same charges as pretending to be a police officer or military personnel when used to gain money through the title and those are normally pretty open and shut cases. It seems a shame it had to go this far but you can really only hope he receives the mental health support he so clearly needs before things spiral out of control.

Read up about that scumbag Frank Abagnale, he lied about all those things, was in jail for the majority of the time he says he was flying all over the world and pretending to be a doctor etc, he pretty much was a low level con man who ripped off a flight attendant and her family. A journalist had exposed him in the 70s but somehow he swindled tons of people and sold that story as reality. There’s a few good articles about him in the last few years. He’s a right cad.
