Wonderful life and story that could teach loads of people about the simple things in life that are taken for granted. Real soul lifting.

WOW! What an amazing family. Notice Cedar mentioned HOW having freedom assisted his creativity? It also made him humble and resourceful. A far cry from our current environments. Cedar you and your family and group of friends are wonderful human beings. You invented something practical and useful that is respectful to our environment and harmonious to nature (Gods' Creation). You have remained humble and money has not changed you. God Bless you and your Family, such a great invention and a beautiful message. When I am able to afford one, I would definitely like to give it a go. Thank you for your efforts 👍👍

How would a regular hive being neglected be different to these ones? Don't quite understand that line of thought.
@mark-ish4 жыл бұрын
Any neglected hive is bad. There isnt any difference between a traditional or modern hive in that respect. The difference between a traditional hive and the Flow hive is the change in attitude of taking the honey with minimal or no effort in caring for the bees. Flow hives as advised in the video are setup not to be intrusive and blissfully ignore any concern for the detection and elimination of parasites and diseases for a healthy hive. This requires regular checking. That's where the flow hive by design fosters a neglected attitude to keeping bees. Ignorance & naivety is clearly bliss for Cedar & people who want the reward without any responsibility.
@honeymcdonald912011 ай бұрын
@@mark-ish Again you are showing your ignorance. have you seen he videos Flow hive put out?. They constantly educate about caring for the bees in the normal way and emphasise getting local knowledge from experienced beekeepers. They talk about parasites, feeding, moving and caring for the brood box. This is one part of the process that is helping that is all. Get a grip.

@@mark-ish It is an exceptional invention. Being able to keep bees and have the honey-harvesting super part of it be non-destructive to the bees is an invention of true vision from a beekeeper (and it is important to know Stuart and Cedar Anderson are lifelong beekeepers across multiple generations…). The ‘anti-Flow’ crowd are more than welcome to keep harvesting honey the way they always have, but don’t begrudge people who have discovered a less painful way… they also should not destructively misinform people that beekeepers who use Flow supers are any lesser beekeepers than any other. (There is an added unintended benefit to harvesting via Flow which is to reduce oxidisation and enhance the richness of the flavour of the honey - completely enforeseen and unintended, but they produce superior tasting honey in a less destructive way to the bees… how on earth could that be a bad thing…?) People who are bad beekeepers are bad beekeepers. That is not the fault of the honey-super; it’s the fault of the beekeeper. Would you say someone is a better/worse beekeeper because they use a J-hook hive tool rather than a flat-bar hive tool? Of course not… that’s be absurd. Using a Flow super is definitely more expensive, but it is simply a tool for a beekeeper… and a clever one at that…🤷♂️

I bout the flow hive early in my beekeeping career and now after 8+ years of experience, I can tell you that the flow hive is a gimmick. The end product is not ready and kills a lot of the bees during the winter time.

The Flow Hive has only been on the market for 5 years. You can't have bought a Flow Hive if you have 8+ years using the hive
@rmartin69144 жыл бұрын
@@moniqueryan2316 I never said I have been using the flow hive for 8+ years. I said I have 8+ years of bee keeping experience in total. I bought it in 2015, so about five years ago.

You never owned a flow hive. They haven’t been for sale for that long. They definitely do NOT kill bees. You just haven’t bothered learning how they work. Sad you have to resort to lies to push your agenda.
@honeymcdonald912011 ай бұрын
Then look after your bees in your winter better. Perhaps the bees need to be contained in the brood box or insulated This would happen no matter what system you had. You're just PO'd that you have invested in the extractor machinery - where you squash and kill bees, mix all the flavours and spend so long faffing about. No-one said the flowhive was the answer to anything but extracting. .

When you harvest from a flow hive, the bees remove the wax cappings and start filling the cells again.

Do a little research and find out what actual bee keepers have to say about this hive. to keep it short really a bad way to go not going to put forth the effort to help the bees and keep them healthy and check on them properly and not lazily. This is one of the worst things that have happened to 🐝 wail they need help and this is not helping.
@XxBloggs2 жыл бұрын
This is rubbish. You’re assuming that people with flow hives don’t look after bees. The fact is that a small minority of traditional beekeepers haven’t done their research and don’t know how FlowHives work. These are an amazing innovation that harvests honey without stress to the bees, without lots of extra equipment and with no mess.

Do a little research and you'll find plenty of beekeepers who do like it, aren't jealous and aren't pissed off that many more people are taking up beekeeping (who haven't bought extraction equipment and a shed)!!
