Hi Patrick, great little video. As a sole trader electrical contractor here in Australia, I swear by my T5-600 and my other fluke test equipment (Fluke 114 DMM, Fluke 17B+ DMM and Fluke non-contact volt tester). I had held off from getting the new Fluke T6, since all my needs are catered for in the T5. All the best for the future! Cheers Michael

how do you test for voltage. I own both the T5 and T6. I tried to test for voltage on a motor and only got the Amp reading and the Hz. Please assist.

Can you test voltage with the jaws or only amperage? Is the t6 better in your opinion?

Only amperage. And is the T6 better? it has some good options. As testing Voltage Also with the jaw. But when trouble shooting it is what you learn with and what you expect to see when testing . I have used the T5 for years!

Thanks, do you see yourself upgrading to the T6 anytime soon? Is it necessary to buy 1000v over 600v for automotive/residential work? I believe the 600v is enough but I found a place online where the 1000v is cheaper. Thank you

Hey @@AlexWilson-ho1zp No I don't See myself needing To . The Plant I work in is 480 Volt, 208 volt . So the T5 is fine . I guess if the one I am using broke and a T6 was there to buy . Maybe. But I have the T5 in my back pocket every day as I am a plant Electrician ! But a good word to Fluke they put out a good product that you can rely on.
