yes! this resonates so deeply. We can all create a version of the folk school model in our communities, based upon our capacities, even if it within a shared community center or public library space. You have kickstarted the engine wheels of my mind :) And thank you for Nordic Animism, it is such important work you are sharing.

As an Irish person I have found this channel to be so informative and powerful, animism is so linked to Irish culture in ways we don’t acknowledge, not on a political level really but on a historical and in terms of our belief systems. Early Irish Christianity had so many animist elements that even continued into our localised understanding of Roman Catholicism. I think unlike a lot of other countries Ireland seemed less focused on what gods they worshipped (though I couldn’t say for sure) or what religion particularly it was but more had a general nature based borderline animist perspective that so long as that was present then it was understandable culturally and therefore could translate well into an independent cultural Christianity before it’s eventual submission to the dogma of foreign powers. Luckily early Christianity was allowed to thrive in Ireland due to the time it was introduced and the preoccupation and collapse politically of mainland European and Middle Eastern powers at the time and therefore preserved a lot of things from older animist systems. Not to mention that ‘pagan’ elements of irish spirituality persisted somehow quite fluidly. I would love to see a detailed video on this topic of the integration of these faith systems if anyone knows any

The folk school sounds awesome!. Also I would like to thank you for mentioning Tyson’s work. I’ve finished Sand Talk on audible and I’m starting Right Story now. I’ve also bought a copy of Sand Talk for my kid to read.

Was about to ask if it was possible to have the folk school model on an internet course and I'm glad I waited 😂

Fantastisk video! Tak 🙌Kan du anbefale noget dansk litteratur om emnet? Med en lignende vinkel. I hvert fald en gennemgang af filosofien bag og de politiske aspekter:)

okay, ik you are talking about Folkeskole, but the word Folk among people who are not danes or scandi associate it with Folkism :p Which might make confusion So maybe include a disclaimer to avoid confusion with folkism and nazism

'...open decolonial paths...' Sorry, you lost me with that statement. I'm into first people's knowledge, but adding that woke garbage about decolonizlism is laughable. 😂
