This video was SO well made and so fun to watch. Your grandma and grandpa seem like absolute sweethearts and the fact that your grandpa runs a mile every day is absolutely legendary. It’s so cool that your family are all Christians.. it’s so evident in not only you, Nico, but I see Jesus in your grandma and grandpa too which is so so beautiful 🥲 I loved how you captured all of the in-between, “mundane” moments like your grandpa watering the flowers and your grandma talking about what she loves most about Kansas.. and her making popcorn for everyone (also I need a link to that popcorn machine). Lastly, I had no idea you ever dealt with an eating disorder and wanted to thank you for talking about that in the video because it really ministered to me ❤️

Enjoy those sweet times with your grandparents...they won't be around forever and it's heartbreaking when you no longer have that comfort and familiarity of family gatherings at their home.

Great vlog Nico. Family is important. I used to do the same thing. Restrict myself at family gatherings and I wouldn’t enjoy myself as much because I was so consumed with what I wasn’t going to eat and even bringing my own food. Nobody is perfect and we don’t need to be. Eat optimally when you can but also letting yourself enjoy the special times with family. Breaking bread with family is precious, sometimes we forget that. Your grandparents seemed super happy to have you all there and eating the food that she lovingly prepared.

Great video Nico! I always love opening youtube and seeing that you uploaded a new video. What I enjoy most about following your journey is how genuine you are in your videos. You portray your true life and don't try to make yourself look good in front of the camera. I agree that family comes first and that was a great message that you got across in this video. You're a creative genius and I've loved your videos that were a bit different than the normal life/training in Arizona ones. I've been inspired by you since I started following you. Starting in March I am thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. Your videos inspire me to keep trying my best to live a healthy lifestyle. Especially being in college surrounded by people who aren't as into that sort of lifestyle, it is reassuring hearing your perspective because you live the life that I want to live once I start working. Also, you played a huge role in recently motivating me to create my own instagram account centered around my training and thru-hike. It is definitely super uncomfortable putting myself out there. You're a model of the reason why I want to do it - I want to share my journey for people who may be interested. Good luck with the training, I look forward to following along! G1M

I love the fall, but I am that person who will listen to Christmas music all year. I love the oldie Christmas songs as well as Dan + Shay’s new Christmas Album because its been getting me through since September of this year. I hope you can give their album a listen!

Christmas music in regards to my cultural background. We start celebrating Christmas time on Sept 1st. Philippines has hot humid dry season and hot wet season (2 seasons which is always hot). Thank you for opening up about your ED. While I don't hold myself back the way you said you have, I tend to beat myself up for "bad" decisions when eating. It's taken a lot over the course of the past couple of years to remind myself that no food is bad, everything is fine in moderation and I don't have to be 100% all of the time.

This video made me vicariously nostalgic! I probably passed through Elbing, KS at least once; as a child I participated in math contests (oh, fun!) in Newton and McPherson, which if I recall correctly are somewhat close to Elbing. Also I don't generally listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, but there are exceptions; for example, the Kelce bros. "Fairytale of Philadelphia".
