Too bad it could never work for the Sith, by virtue of every Sith being power hungry and unwilling to share power with others unless they are the senior partner. Not to mention given their tendency to plot and scheme against their peers. Eventually, either Plagueis or Palpatine would have attempted to kill and replace the other.

One of the subtle things about the Padawan Massacre series of events that makes me laugh a bit - is that the Covenant based their beliefs that one of their Padawan would be the new Sith was because they saw a Sith wearing one of the space suits that their Padawan wore during a training exersize. Skip ahead a few comics, and Zayne Carrick rescues a bunch of Revanchist from imprisonment with the Mandalorians, and gives his space suit to one of the escapee's he befriended. That Jedi was Alak, aka Darth Makak. In other words, the Covenant effectively created a self-fulfilling prophecy. And they killed their own Padawan, and forced another into hiding... for nothing.

Just think about it, we haven't been shown how the council discusses these events that we have been shown, which is unusial. Normally, throughout the prequels, we have always been shown what the council believes. So we are basically shown these events from the eyes of a regular by stander, so that the revelation of what happened in that village and of the jedi's cover up story that is currently discussed in the high councel chambers will come as a shock.

I don't think the Jedi started the fire, I think that when they arrived to help the people in danger they recognised Mae and Osha as a dyad in the Force and Mae as a dark side user then they were put in a situation where they had to chose to save one of them and obviously they choose Osha letting Mae to die. I also believe that Sol didn't take part on that decision, he seems to be younger than the other Jedi involved. It would be a great plot twist if they've saved the wrong twin and Osha turns out to be the dark sided one.

@@GenerationTech Most of the other creators (excluding yourself, Eckheart and Geetsly who I'd say are still fine) seem to have forgotten Yoda's message about the dark side. It's quicker, easier, more seductive but, at the end of the day, giving into that hate will just destroy everything they care about eventually. Either because people will stop watching their videos because they're tired of the negativity or because they'll "win" and Disney will decide Star Wars isn't worth it anymore and then there'll never be any new Star Wars products and there channels will die from that because they now have nothing to complain about anymore. I'm not saying they have to like everything that's released or even that some of what Disney has released isn't deserving of criticism. But they should focus those criticisms on the actual issues with the product and try and explain to Disney why they shouldn't make stuff like that again. At the end of the day, Disney wants to make as much money as possible and the best way for Disney to do that, is to find out what caused something to not meet expectations and improve on those aspects on the next project. It's kind of hard for them to do so when a lot of the complaints just end up being "Disney Bad!"

Interesting theory about this covenant killing Padawans. I see “The Acolyte” going in a different direction. I suspect the witches on Brendock may have been allied with a dark side force user, who was being hunted by the Jedi. The Jedi sent a team to confront the dark side user on Brendock. The Jedi attacked the dark sider, which may have been what Mae referred to in the opening scene. Mae accused Master Indara of attacking people. Mae was not accusing the Jedi Order, as a whole. At some point during the lightsaber fight, a fire was started. The fight could have been started by anyone, but I suspect that it may have been the dark side user. The four Jedi that Mae is hunting could be the sole Jedi survivors of that fight and eventual forest fire. The dark sider escaped with Mae, while the Jedi escaped with Osha. That’s my crazy prediction. I have had fun coming up with it.

Just think how quick he was to believe Osha, and how he refused to restrain her to the consternation of the other Jedi.

Once she communicated with her sister Mae like she did, I was thinking that they were a Force Diad. Connections in the Force are important and identical twins would have a strong connection to begin with if they were Force sensitive, let alone from a Force sensitive family. It was pretty obvious after the after the flash backs and everything that the fire was caused by the Jedi, probably fighting the parents. I suspect that the Jedi might have not been there to kill anyone and that they had just come there to take the children in as members of the Jedi Order or to relocate them to a secure location so that they would never develop their powers since they hadn't been trained as Jedi since early childhood. The Jedi "we don't want accidental misuse of the Force" policy the Order liked so much. They were probably pretty surprised when the mothers opposed them using the Force and lightsabers cause fires in homes pretty easily.

Glad to see that someone else thought of witches or something cultural of the specific planet like a community of women like in Darthomir when they spoke about Osha's mothers and not any agenda of this Earth... And I was wondering if I am naive! Morgan Elsbeth called "mothers" the witches that were with Thrawn and they weren't even some type of family. It's nice to see good theories around the story. To be fair your point with the dyad is interesting. That can explain why Sol so easily changed his mind about Mae being alive after Osha just claiming she is. I agree that the Jedi have done something very dodgy. I am curious to see how Sol seems "at peace" with what happened. In any way, finally some interesting conversation. The show has its missteps and the dialogue is clunky. But it seems alright, not a masterpiece but alright. We can make a final assessment when it is concluded. No need for so much hate. But a colony also has scouts, farmers, those that care for the young, etc., The Dark side is no doubt the same. They no doubt have farmers that use their force ability to better be as one with the plants and animals. They no doubt have healers, and many other classes - BUT, when attacked (like the Jedi attacked them,) you have the warriors and those with violent tendencies and who use the force for war after you. That's their purpose. As with any group, being attacked, and driven, they may well become that which they fought. The Jedi became horrible beings, they drove the Dark Siders to do the same. It would be great if they had some that would step back and say "light, dark, gray - the force is neither good nor evil, it is HOW it is used and WHY."

Along with the prophecy of " The Son of Two Suns to restore Balance to the Force." At that time the public was told that Owen Lars was Kenobi's brother. Later it turns out Shim Skywalkers had two sons.
@Maria_Espino5 ай бұрын
But the Force Dyad is the Force answering a deep imbalance between the light and dark. One side has to be more powerful than the other for the Force to answer with a being created as its opposite. How can that happen with identical twins? If you look back Darth Revan and Darth Malak were powerful Jedi that turned Dark, so that created an imbalance because there was already a huge power on the Dark side, Darth Vitiate. So the Force answered that power by creating Bastila Shan as a balance to Revan. She would go on to bring Darth Revan back to the light because the pull between these two is very strong, but not Darth Malak. When Malak tried to turn Bastila, Revan was an able to pull her back to the light and kill Darth Malak. I believe they were the first Force Dyad; Revan and Bastila. The stipulation to this phenomenon is that an imbalance has to exist and that the Force is always seeking to balance it. This being an “answer to” that imbalance is the very reason why the Sith could never achieve a Force Dyad, because it requires one side to be off balance - thus requiring a dark side AND a light side. I would think this phenomenon to be impossible in beings already tied together by being identical twins. What I think this is, is called a “Vergence in the Force”. A vergence is a large concentration of Force energy centered around an area object, a place, or a person. The cave in Dagobah, the pits in Ahch-To - these are examples of vergences that take form as a place, but it can be a PERSON or an OBJECT too. I think, just speculation on my part, is that these witches were trying to actively create the prophecy of The Chosen One. And it backfired when two being were created, thus creating a divergence in the Force. The Jedi would see this as an abomination and try to snuff it out. They’d kill the entire community for daring to have the knowledge to ATTEMPT to create such a scenario. This might lead into why Palpatine thought he could manipulate the midichlorians in Shmi Skywalker’s womb - the tales of these witches.

Palpatine was too selfish to share power with Darth Plaguis as the latter had hoped for, and was obsessed with achieving immortality. Realistically he only ever viewed his apprentices as disposable tools and intended to sit on the throne forever.

Lesley Headlund pretty much confirmed this was about the Sith in an interview with dave filoni so, yeah that 'master' is a Sith.

The rule of two was only ever true in the time of Bane. For all other Sith they hold such rules as the Jedi do with disdain.

Worms are hermaphrodites, huts are hermaphroditic worms. Not really a surprise. Seems like Anakin's conception is nothing special anymore.

It’s sad seeing fans try to explain away everything to keep their love for the franchise intact, personally I just don’t count anything that has come out by Disney except for andor

It makes so much more sense for more Force-Sensite beings to exist. I mean, its a GALAXY, with huge as planets full of trillions of sentient beings. How am I supposed to belive there is only so few?

The issue is that these women are not Hutt's, or another species with different reproductive systems. They are human. If they want to go as far as to explain it was in vitro fertilisation or a force encouraged birth or something, fine. That's not what they're doing so far tho. It'd also be extremely uncreative if they try to ret-con the latter, as that was litterally the plot in the sequel trilogy. It'd just be lazy.

The rule of two was explained by Yoda in Episode 1. Yoda's a Jedi Master, so how would he know? It's immediately proven wrong with the introduction of Count Dooku in the next film. I don't understand how people took that as canon and ran with it?? Especially going back to the old republic where Sith were running around everywhere. Even further to the fact that they began as a race from a planet in another galaxy. I never put any stock in the rule of two and it's insane to me that people still reference it. It's like when Mae says Jedi only take out their lightsaber to kill. We know it's wrong. This isn't changing canon; just consider the source. Mae's trained in the dark side of the force and has a grudge against the Jedi. It's probable that she was made to believe this by her master to help further his agenda.

Snoke said he was the one who bridged their minds, so does that mean he created the dyad, perhaps accidentally?

After watching this video, I do not know why the Third Republic and Luke's Jedi Order do not undo the Imperial propaganda by showing the known galaxy the evidences about the Empire's war crimes like at all? After all, why peoples only called the Jedi and the Republic out but not the Sith and the Empire?

Good question. After WW-II, many influential congressmen were also implicated to have supported the Nazi’s while being in political office in the USA. Citizens were tired of the war and preparing for baring the brunt of the cost of rebuilding Europe so no one wanted to bring up those congressmen so USA could return to peace. I speculate the Republic was in a similar state after the ‘death’ of Palpatine (the OG).
