The cops vs skateboarders video was one of the biggest new stories in Arkansas at the time. I was a skater (still am) and would often go to Hot Springs to skate and these kids that were involved in the confrontation were like local legends. In a way I think it actually did a lot to grow the awareness in Arkansas about needing to build skateparks and pushed the "skateboarding is not a crime" sentiment to the public. 52:10 The Buket TKO incident set a precedent for how graffiti bombers and taggers would conduct themselves online, that definitely marked a turning point from the pre internet days where the only people who could get their hands on graffiti videos were in the scene themselves, to the post internet days where if you published yourself bombing to the internet, anyone can see it, and you better be wearing some sort of disguising equipment and posting some sort of notice to the videos audience stating that the actions seen were done on “legally owned property” or merely “video effects”, because if you posted yourself as is, you were pretty much writing your own arrest warrant. Great video websurf.

@@ZugTheDragon You do understand that graffiti doesn’t have the same sentencing it did (in america) 20, 10, or even 5 years ago anymore right? Nobody no matter how much in damages they are causing in the modern age is going to serve more than 2 weeks in jail with or without bond for the crime of graffiti. Vandalism detectives of police agencies are being assigned other projects, and the western world is moving away from the idea that it’s worth investing boat loads of money into stopping. People doing graffiti in the modern era more often cover their faces for the sake of not getting sued and having to pay for the cleanup. Try calling the police on someone for vandalism in any major american city with over a 200,000 population. You’re not gonna get anyone out there for 45 minutes at least, and by the time they arrive that person will be long gone. Hell, I can name a few cities that have gone as far as hiring people they were prosecuting 10-15 years ago to now paint murals in certain parts of town to establish an “arts district”. Ironic stuff.

For the Dominoes one, this kinda stuff to a degree happens more often than you think. I worked at 3 restaurants during college - A pizza place, a Family restaurant and catering. I've seen food coughed on then attempted to be served, I've seen line cooks drop finished food on the floor to pick up and try to serve. Pizza place I worked at had no running hot hand sink water one day and refused to close so I quit and called health dept on them. When I seen this stuff I always stopped it from being served by reporting to manager asap. I made some enemies and 2 were fired as a result but made damned sure it wasn't served.

@WobblesandBean7 ай бұрын
@@thewhitefalcon8539 Because tagging ≠ graffiti. The latter is an art form, the former is just destroying property by putting your initials on it. Chaka definitely toed that line, though. Like, it's definitely not fully realized graffiti, but it's far more effort and has more artistic value than straight up tagging. Personally I think his prolific body of work (10,000 tags, like seriously wtf) and the fact that the "CHAKA" image became so iconic, makes it lean more into the artistic side.

@@thewhitefalcon8539 you don't see how? having quickly-made scrawls on every shutter and spare wall can make a place look disgusting as well as lowering the value of the sprayed-up property. Now, when a year has gone by and the tag has finally been cleaned off... it gets tagged again. and I live in England, this is nothing to do with American cops not wanting to solve any crimes as you say. What I find disgusting is how this youtuber can talk about Charles Dyer this way, without so much as even researching the events that occurred from both sides. This man served two tours, had no criminal record, had evidence of his wife cheating on him, doing drugs, and having her sex offender uncle around their daughter alone while she was gone. She had lied multiple times and even stated that she would, "do whatever it takes to keep her daughter." There was evidence on her computer of her looking up how to frame someone of a crime, how to prove child abuse and what happens when you make false claims. She was coaching her daughter to say her father abused her by showing her sexual images and saying they were her fathers and to repeat that to authorities. The worst part of all was that all the evidence that Charles Dyers attorney had against his ex-wife would never be used in court and all the testimonies proving Charles was innocent would not be allowed to take the stand as told from this article. "Then, in one of the most reprehensible travesties of justice, virtually all this evidence was withheld from the jury of a third trial in which Dyer was ultimately convicted. Not only did Dyer’s attorney Albert J. Hoch Jr. not call any witnesses that could testify about the computer searches, he also did not call any other witnesses who could undermine Valerie’s credibility, despite Dyer’s alleged assertions to Hoch to let the witnesses testify on his behalf. Also absent from the third trial were the results of DNA testing performed by OSBI at the place where the abuse had reportedly occurred, that would have corroborated Dyer’s assertion that he was innocent of the charges against him." "Other highly suspicious actions by persons within law enforcement and the justice system also invite cause for concern. When Dyer was first arrested he asked that he be allowed to take a polygraph test to show his innocence, but neither Sheriff Wayne McKinney, nor presiding Judge Joe Enos would allow one to be administered within their places of jurisdiction, even though Dyer’s family paid to have the test done."

As much as I used to like wayV criminal series I find this one to be a miss. He should never call victims "underage women" as it is an oxymoron that has been infamously used in the press to minimize the impact of a crime. He also calls a seven years old that was raped by her father "the alleged victim" even when the pedophile in question was convicted of the crime. And this is in the same video he calls someone a bitch... I don't hate wayV nor do I think he is a bad person, but I think he is getting burnt out of this kind of content. I wish he instead did a full series of positive content like his heroic acts video, including focusing on female heroes like Park Jiyoung for example, specially as his first video was only about male cases.
