Same. Something is off about her. She literally had kids just to have a power trip over them. She enjoys punishing them whenever they didn’t do exactly what she told them to do. And she made sure she gave severe punishments for the smallest of things and forced her kids to be too independent at too young of an age. Who makes their 6 year old in kindergarten/first grade responsible for their own lunch? I didn’t start doing that until I was an adult working my first career after college. And I had the kind of parents, who quoted spare the rod spoil the child, and my parents jaw would drop seeing the kind of abuse she put her kids through. Where’s their dad? He’s in on this?! Because I’ve only heard about her so far. And honestly it makes sense if she’s a single mom because I can’t imagine a man putting up with her manipulative ass.

If that's the first people yeah 100% agree. She was openly committing abuse on her children, and her mind was so warped she didn't even understand what she was doing was wrong. the exact type of priviliged person you hope to never have to interact with. I also think they were tapping into a outlet or even a fetish thing, intentionally or not, of people who regret becoming parents but haven't crossed the line of abusing their own children yet to live vicariously through them. I can't imagine who else the audience could have been.

A fitting irony that she's now living in a facility that literally doesn't have any "personal space" for her. In the warden's house, she can't sneak or hide or keep secrets. Most of them don’t view their children as children, they view them as assets to be deployed in whatever manner will get them (the parents) paid. It’s not just disgusting, it’s criminal and it’s helping to further break down the family unit… People watch this nonsense and develop warped senses of family life. As an aside, I find it telling that many “family values” advocates tend to skew very religious; Religion is one of the major factors involved when it comes to horrific abuse in the home, yet we hear various sanctimonious versions of “the family that prays together stays together 😊” nonsense.

People who punish this severely are never satisfied. They just escalate and escalate and take their children's trauma responses as defiance and double down in response. I was starved, beaten, treated like a dog, lost all my belongings and was told I was no longer part of the family, sleeping on the floor for 70 days, and mom just got angrier the worse off I became. My silence wasn't malnutritional apathy, it was a direct attack on her, and she responded accordingly. My dad and CPS let it all happen.

Kids don't ask to be here. We force them here with our interest in being parents. If being a parent makes you think you OWN your children and you can be anything but loving, guiding, and compassionate, then you have no business in that role. A child needs privacy, food, love, guidance. They are individual people who will grow up to be independent with their own thoughts and feelings and desires. That too easily gets forgotten. It’s so so sad that unless they see obvious signs of neglect, they’ll allow children to continue being abused. As long as the kids aren’t in immediate danger, CPS usually doesn’t do anything more than recommend parenting classes and open a case on them. It’s not like they want to do that, but they have sooooo many cases put onto each case worker that they’re probably extremely limited in what they’re able to do.

I once walked off with another woman’s daughter. I’d been shopping, with my 15 months old daughter in a shopping cart. I turned to pick something up, tossed it into my cart & walked off, only to notice my daughter’s eyes had changed from gray to brown! I did a double-take, and turned a corner to meet the woman pushing my daughter in search of me. We had a chuckle over it, as our daughters were identical in age and appearance, except for eye color. They were also dressed identically (and we’d never met, lived in different towns). It was a very bizarre experience!

Some things don't have a "quick fix" solution. Everything is only as strong as it's weakest link. Every pro has a con. That would basically be cps, with the exception that they would inspect all homes regularly and could nitpick everything to the point where they could legally but unethically take kids away. Most cps I've met or knew personally, were quacks. One would come over and tell me as if I wanted to hear, about specific names and accusations. I don't know the answer, but I don't think that's it.

Maybe social workers should CONTINUE to come around parent's homes up until they are 16/18. Not just when they are new-born. It could EVEN just be a spot check (once a year or so). Government official comes round, takes a child at random & asks them (alone) some questions about their situation. Probably could help prevent a lot of abuse but you know "money & all". All the millionaires/billionaires need it for their avocado & toast (to compensate for their neglect as children).

I'm a victim of child abuse myself. I didn't have a good childhood growing up, as my mother would frequently abuse me almost daily, I no longer have any contact with her, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I really hope the kids of Ruby Franke are safe, and not even in the care of their father either. There's no way he couldn't have not known about the situation before the police got involved. Today, I'm with a woman who understands and cares for me. We intend to marry within the next couple years. The best advice I can give to those who were victims of abuse as well, is the best medicine is to be around people who care and understand you and go to therapy.

What is it with abusive parents having an abnormally high amount of kids (which for me would be 4+ kids)? In some cases it's adoption, and in other cases the mother is the birth parent. If they already hate kids to the point of abusing them, why do they have so many? Taking care of one kid can already be hard financially and scheduling-wise, so I can't imagine taking care of 7 young kids like some of the abusers in this video.

Yeah, and if they don't want their kid then why they can't send them to the adoption center? sure that will scare the kid but at least there are families willing to care and love them. And Its a waste of time and money if you hate your kids and still care (or abuse) them , like stop making things harder for you and your kids
