Yea, it’s insane. I love Nars foundation in general. I’ve tried sheer glow and natural radiant longwear. This one is better but it’s also the only one that doesn’t have glass packaging or a pump. I’m here for all the extra product tho!

I personally prefer new Caledonia- i think it brightened you up a little more. I would suggest not using a yellow based powder with it and I think it would look bomb!

It’s the same dilemma with Macao and Marquises. Macao being for some a tad bit too light and more golden olive in this finish. While Marquises is darker, more warm golden.

Yeah, both sides actually work well. If you used either on your whole face, we would still be saying how good it looks! Using the slightly lighter shade for your Winter shade is a very good idea. I went to Sephora to buy this one and they are allowing you to swatch shades on yourself now, they put the shades I was trying on a glass pane, and then I could get the product off the glass and swatch it, so that’s good. I’m liking the Soft Matte so much that I’m getting the Soft Matte concealer to use with it, hopefully the formula is comparable.

I am sooooo glad you posted this because I was JUST saying that I can get away with New Caledonia in Sheer Glow (which was you used forever ago and I have been hooked ❤️) but I noticed it can come off a smidge too light. I didn’t wanna commit to buying the next shade in a full size because I didn’t want to pay full price for something that wouldn’t be my shade and then I’ll be running around trying to return it. 🙄 Anywhoooo, thank you! For being my shade reference AND coming in clutch w/ the review. ❤️

They really should've called the shade 'Iguazu' so that people would be able to pronounce it properly. They used the Brazilian name but that's written "Iguaçu" so the last syllable is pronounced SU instead of CU. Sorry for the ramble but it just got on my nerves hahah 😅

I think Iguacu is better suited! especially with the concealer/full beat, it matches you perfectly! Miss new caledonia is inching towards too light and we don’t have time for that 💀

Found my perfect shade (red undertone) only for me to be casket grey with flash in all lighting 😩 my sister was grey (yellow undertone) with her perfect shade as well. Ugh. Was my only time trying NARS cause like you said heard no bad things. Ugh. Oh and I only had the Milk Hydrogrip primer and the Smashbox setting spray on with the foundation. No powders or anything. At this point I only have two foundations that have my shade that don’t leave me gray smh

im going to try this one! nars is the only brand that ever matches my olive tones. i use sheerglow now but it slides off my oily skin after 10hrs. hopefully this one will stick!

I also have a neutral undertone and New Caledonia in the Natural Radiant Longwear foundation is my perfect match, Iguacu is my summer shade. All the hype around this is making me wanna get it, and I swear by the Natural Radiant. Definitely feel like Iguacu is your match cause in all the foundations you've tried that I also have, I'm a shade lighter.

Iguacu does seem just that smidgeon bit more fitting for your skintone, but New Caledonia is pretty close. Glad you did Iguacu in the bigger product, it looks like a good match & a good finish. I'd agree with you, New Caledonia would probably work as a winter shade.

New Caldonia has the right neutral undertone for you sis!!! Igqucu seems to hace a bit of red in it and a bit darker

I think this is the first review where New C did not look grey on the person! In all honesty, I could not tell the difference between the two, they both look good. I’m actually going to try Manaus (sp)

Definitely keep the one you bought it looks good! I just bought mine this weekend in the shade Manaus. The website told me New Caledonia too and I felt like it was going to be the wrong undertone. So I went with the next shade before.

Both foundation shades are quite good, Iguacu is better though. The Caledonia shade is too yellow that's why it seems to light.

I think New Caledonia will be your winter shade but Iguacu makes you look so snatched! I found the Soft Matte Concealer to be soooo drying. It literally peels on me , so I think this foundation may be too much for my combination/dry/confused skin. I still havent tried NRLW though, so I might get that instead 😄

I am Namibia in Nars and I tried it with the new matte foundation and for ever reason the undertone does not work on me over 6 hours my face have a grayish look. Both sides look good on you.

I personally think New Caledonia looks better! I also use to work as a professional MUA on sets. It’s a good match if you’re in a rush or if you’re adding bronzer and the whole Shabang

You can get away with both honesty. The darker shade matches your neck more and the lighter matches your chest more. Both look beautiful on you ❤️

I think New Cal is the color for you. The other one gives you a slight shadow so maybe it can be your summer shade. Loving the eyeshadow color and the lashes so feel free to share the shadow color and lash info, hint hint!

I think you can wear both shades but Iguacu looks a little better in my opinion. I'm a tad bit darker than you and my shade match is Iguacu in the Natural radiant foundation. If Iguacu matches you I'm curious if it will be too light for me in the soft matte formula.

New caledonia is too dark for me.. so I tried Marquises is the matte foundation. It oxidized on me and ended up a tad dark as well. I probably should of just went with Macao
