Gosh that foundation hack is unbelievable!!!....Nicole, your skin never looked so radiant, even with the "slightly too warm" shade....and I love the monochromatic colors this season, reminds me of when I was a teenager in the 70's, and I had to look like I wasn't wearing make-up, or my mother would make me wash it off!!...love...love...love it!!!...

The foundation in water made it seem to just meld with your skin so that your skin just looks healthy and full of color without looking like makeup. I love the color palettes that you use with the browns, tans, creams, champagnes, etc. because it really compliments those beautiful hazel eyes, and I just love warm, chocolaty browns in general, too. Love that lip color on you, in fact, I love everything about this look! Simply gorgeous and gorgeously simple! Some of the prettiest looks come from simple routines, and it is such a pleasure, If not a bit addictive, watching you demonstrate them. I find myself watching a few every day lately, and as a man, I don't even wear makeup. There is something soothing, peaceful, and joyful for me watching the process, as it is watching any good artist create beauty with color and texture. You help to brighten my day! Thank you! 🌹🌞

Hi Nikol.. I wanted to thank you. I recently began watching your youtube videos, and tutorials. The tutorials are great, but what makes you special, are your words. I am 56 years old and for the past few years I have been the caregiver of my parents. They both are now 89. A year ago my brother came to help me out, but a couple of months ago he fell ill, and now I care for him .as well as my parents. They all are forgetful among other things. As for me being their caregiver, I wouldn't want it any other way. But somewhere along the line, I forgot about myself. And that's where you come in. Your videos have inspired me to take just a little time for myself. I went to Walmart today and got some products. Now I will start binging on all your videos for ideas. Once again, thank you for being you.❤️

I’ve played around with this and get a good result by spraying/spritzing a foundation brush with water and then adding a couple of drops of Vichy mineral 89 plumping booster and then a few drops of foundation. I’m currently using Dior Forever matte and the finish I get with the water, Vichy and foundation is great in this hot and humid weather we are currently experiencing here in the U.K. ( Wales) at the money. It doesn’t cake or settle in pores and is lasting.

I’ve been putting my CC cream on the back of my hand and picking some up with my damp sponge and putting it on. It is so sheer and feels so light on my skin. A friend who is a Mary Kay consultant showed me this when she helped me with my makeup-using what I had, not pushing me to purchase her products.
@MyCleverHandle2 жыл бұрын
I've been doing a variation of the water trick for many years. I use wet fingertips to apply my IT CC Cream, and a wetter-than-usual damp sponge to blend it around my face. When I want even lighter coverage, I use wet fingertips to apply and blend my BB Cream. I alternate between these two base products and two different tinted, mineral-based sunblocks, to act as foundations *without* primer. Then a very light dusting of BareMinerals Original loose mineral powder, well buffed in, keeps everything in place but still looking light. My rosacea moods and the day's weather usually determine which "foundation" I use.
@karenwallshomes2 жыл бұрын
Great info! I do this but with rose water spray. However, I do it a bit of the lazy frugal way with the same results I think (so I don't lose unused product in water). I spray my face with rosewater first and mist (hydrate) really well, then take a tinted light foundation (or foundation of your choice heavy or light if you prefer) and mix it with a good pore-free primer which I place on a saucer and use either a brush or sponge and it looks not only flawless but less product but it looks very natural and your skin look very hydrated! I love the tips on this channel!

I’ve been using the L’Oreal lash primer since 2003. One thing that I really appreciate about it is that removing mascara at the end of the day is easier/less messy because I’m using less mascara plus I’m not having to work the black mascara out of the base of my lashes! The mascara practically removes itself when I put the beauty pad against my eyes!!

I've recently discovered Loreal's Pro Glow foundation that rivals any high end product, and I've tried dozens and dozens. This foundation is flattering and long wearing, something I've never been able to find in a product. I usually press a one-ply tissue over the foundation after I apply it, and it barely transfers! But, today, I tried what others here mentioned, that is, combining water with foundation. I put some drops of Pro Glow on the back of my hand, and sprayed abundantly with water. I then applied it to my skin and blended with a brush then dabbed overall with a moist sponge. It was a softened, evened-out look that I loved! I used a small amount of pressed powder in some areas, and finished it all off with setting spray. As I mentioned, this is a long wearing foundation to begin with, but this gave a very softened look, IMHO.. Love your channel, Ms. Nikol!

What I resent is the $89 price tag for TF shadows. Less expensive shadows often work as well and are much less expensive. Women need to look at the ingredients because they will find that most shadows (and other cosmetics) are made of the same stuff. I hate feeling that I m paying for packaging and advertising.

I used to ALWAYS wear eyeliner but now that my hair is a pretty silver white eyeliner looks to hard and I am using a brown eyeshadow for my liner. Looks so much softer. The same with my eyebrows. I’ve got to try doing my eyes first as you suggest. If you fumble your eyeshadow at least you don’t have to take off/patch your foundation along with the eyeshadow. Love it. Was bordering on buying a new foundation. I’ve got really good skin and I hate loads of coverage. Popping a little of my Dior backstage in water and popping on with a sponge gave a more translucent and smooth look. I’ll try the L’Oréal eyelash primer and see how that goes however Ive recently started tinting my eyelashes and eyebrows and it’s worked wonders for thickness and visibility as they’d started to fade (next birthday is 60). I use Schwarzkopf light blonde and leave in for a little longer - eyebrows and lashes tint up nice and dark with it - more a dark brown than jet black. So go lighter on the brow tint. Nicole perhaps you could do a session on tinting brows and lashes.

Show us the transfer factor before the hack. For those of us who have been doing the neutrals we are there! What do you think of tubing mascara?

Hi Nikol: I am new to your channel and have been binge watching all of your videos. I am learning how to apply makeup to my more mature face with hooded deep set eyes, and your eyeshadow tutorials have helped me so much! You are so beautiful. Thank you so much. I just tried the water foundation hack. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with my Nars Light Reflecting Foundation. When I put it in the water, it just separated. Just wanted to share this. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you so much again!

I believe it doesn’t work with that one because that’s a water based foundation & it’s supposed to give you this look without having to do that. Try spritzing rose water before & after applying. It makes your skin feel very refreshed.

Hi Nikol.I really like the way you did your eye makeup in this video.You always have great tips and tricks.I have a question not related to this video..I just wanted to know if you think the eye exfoliation pads would help with milia?I am finding now that my two biggest issues with my face are my very tired hooded eyes and the ever growing presence of milia.Be well and thank you!
