My jack Russell will not have treats so the only way I can train him is to offer lots of praise and it works really well

The first one is incorrect though.. I have a puppy and if i give a command and he tries other commands because maybe he didnt understand because he havent learnt it rock solid yet, then when he eventually does the right thing - THEN I reward him because next time he will try that first because that is what got him the reward
