It really looks good! small form factor but can be pack with big parts, very clean build! I really love when a build doesn't have big spaces and doesn't looks empty.

Same, that's why I love this case :) originally wanted to build in the montech air 902 max but went the mATX way and switched to this amazing bad boy :D

While they are not many people using 5.25" optical drives these days, i look for them, and they are getting very scarce. They are very useful for 4-bay 2.5" drive bays, for additional USB-C I/O ports, card readers etc.

The main reason I wanted this case was because it is modern Matx with 5.25 drive capabilities. I like surround sound music.

I love how clean it looks, i was thinking that the other sff cases would be better if slightly bigger and this pops up. I will really consider this case when i build my own pc. Thanks for the review robey ❤️

Looking into buying this case! I have a gigabyte vision RTX 3080 with a 5800x and I have been looking into cases and this is the one. For the price, I think it is unbeatable. Thank you for showing the thermals, here in Florida that is really important, especially during the summer.

Researching Matx cases and what would fit my build and this one gets the most checkmarks: price, airflow, good gpu clearance, how easy is to build in it, and lastly aesthetics. Not giving names, but it's astonishing how many weird designs are out there that either have next to no airflow, or length that can only support dual fan gpus or those that simply force you to get a much more expensive AIO instead or a regular budget air cooler.

That's neat, I seem to be coming to this channel here and there when looking up certain things. Totally like it here. Love how Fractal makes all their cases basic enough for me, too. In fact, all the cases I've legitimately wanted to get and have gotten were all by Fractal!

Being able to mount aio radiators, at least 240 size, to the top side is critical. The coolest air flows in from the frontal side of the case, and the hottest coolent meets this coolest air at the top front of the case. So, if this setup is actually admittable with some trouble, I would like to see some better elaboration on this matter. Perhaps, a bit of shots showing the lack of space compared to the full ATX version, etc. Other than that, this case shows the expected temperature numbers, which is not too bad.

It's actually a mATX case, not a ITX case. So also showing the other cases in the intro makes less sense. I think the target group really matters here. Besides that. Nice overview

How thick can the fans be between the front panel, and frame? Is it restricted to 25mm?
@dannygomez10652 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a great case just wish they had included the usb type c on the front seems weird how they have a spot for it and labeled it but didn’t include it. Plus I don’t think thermals are gonna be much of an issue like you said no one is gonna throw a monster build in that or at least they shouldn’t. But some gaming and maybe some editing of videos that case would be fine for

The thing about this case that bothers me a little is that they could’ve added support for two 140mm fans and a 280mm radiator at the top since there’s clearly room up there for that. I get that Fractal wanted to make the case affordable but I think this was a corner that they should not have cut.

Its interesting that all the yt reviews on this case talk about a 90 USD price point but today it's at best 106 USD. Functionality is most important to me in a case and price is always a consideration. I'm one of the 500 ppl using ODD (occasionally) and this feature on this case is better than buying a $46 external enclosure. So I'm looking at the Silverstone RL08 as another option.

Glad to see 5.25" bays are still around (your comment about nobody using them is ridiculous; please look into 2.5" MHDD/SSD hot-swap bays and note you can fit 8 disks in a single 5.25" bay. The downside using one of these in this case is that the bay ventilation is minimal due to the PSU blocking airflow. The result? Consumer wondering what the purpose is. Optical? Yes. But you don't need two 5.25" for that!). Replacing the functional reset button with an RGB LED control button is almost offensive. Fractal Design has been making some very strange "design" choices over the past 4-5 years, focusing more on Jony-Ive-esque aesthetics and less about functionality. This applies across their entire line, including the Define series (it started around the Define 5, definitely with the 6 onward). I've bought their cases *exclusively* for the past 15 years, but as time has gone by I've found myself looking at competitors cases more often than in the past.
