Frenchman is probably my favorite character in the series, at this point in time. In the show you can tell he has a vicious past, with his job being the destruction of superheroes. However, his pacifist ideals shine through during his interactions with the rest of the characters especially with Hughie and the Female. It is obvious that he detest any sort of violence, but he is good at it, and Billy knows this. Billy pretty much forces Frenchie to do what he detests through manipulation and inescapable situations. Love the characters, love the show, love these videos. Thank you.

From my understanding of his character from the Comics his entire backstory is entirely made up - He fought as part of the french forein legion and is not actually french.
