I want you to never stop what you are doing because you may seem like you don't do well enough coz of your subs and views. You are the most underrated guitarist. Thank you for your lessons and covers :)

I'm mastering the fretboard with you're fretboard drill, I feel more confident and secure where the notes are and it's more easy to understand what you're actually doing 😀

This is massive for me. Im not a very good player compared to most (i have only played guitar for one year with no classes) and i was trying to create a cover of kimetsu yaiba (demon slayer opening) and this opens so many more windows for opportunity. Thanks. (ps you are the reason this pianist got into gutair after watching your last goodbye cover in January last year so thanks for that as well)

Are you (or have you ever) been confused by the layout of the fretboard? What did you do / are you doing to memorize the fretboard? Leave me a comment!

This video is the greatest example of using alternate locations with the same notes! Ido this very thing with my version of LoZ OoT - Gerudo Valley theme! Awesome video, thanks so much for this!

@@BeyondTheGuitarAcademy I will definitely post the link when it's finished. It's a medley featuring Bolero Of Fire (my first fingerstyle arrangement after 32 years of playing guitar), Gerudo Valley, and also Song of Time/Song of Storms inspired by your arrangement of Taylor Davis for guitar!!! The part I'm working through is the chord shape where the fingers are spread across five frets, and from 6th to 1st string...but I also play in different tunings so I have to adapt certain shapes as I go!!! But it's awesome being able to play Zelda songs on guitar! Can't wait to share them. Without being my direct instructor, you've still helped become such a better guitar player than I ever have been! Much love and much appreciation for what you do Nathan!

Nice tips Just a few questions How much "harmony knowledge" do you think is necessary in order to come up with better fingerstyle transcriptions? How much do you know? And do you have any tips on practicing harmony? Thanks a lot man

I understand how the fretboard works, however I have to count up from the top of the neck for every single note on every string :( this is very tedious.

I have a series of PDF lessons I call "The 3 Pillars of Arranging" I send out the week after you signup for Fretboard Freedom. I one of those I give you some tips for memorizing the fretboard so you don't have to count up from the open strings like that

Do you teach beginners how to play. Do you provide a systematic way of learning?
