What do you think of the video and what would you like to see in another video?

This was an amazing video! And I would like to see how and why west, saterland, and north Frisian got spilt up. Or maybe a video like the how Frisian is the closest language to English but with the different west Frisian dialects.

This has been another interesting video. Have you ever heard about the Frisian Folk/Metal band Baldrs Draumar? They have a song called "Thuners Fjoer". I remember another song by the same band, "Magna Frisia", in which they say "Magna Frisia de goaden proasten op dy". So, this video awakened some nice memories in me. Tige tank!!

Thanks! Yes, I have heard of the band and I think their songs are pretty interesting. There's unfortunately not much information about the Frisian Gods ;(

@@learnfrisian That's true,I agree on that.

Great vlog! I've looked high and low for information on Frisian gods and found only fragmented reports. You impressively pulled it together. Not only was it very informative but you explained and arranged it beautifully. Definitely kept my interest. I've always been deeply interested in ancient Friesian history. I'd welcome a nice summary on Frisian historical figures like Radbad, Boniface, Grote Pier, Mati Hari (although she's not an ancient figure), etc. Maybe also another video on the various wars sweeping across the land and how they shaped Frisian behaviors. Maybe another on Frisian burial practices including internment inside churches, outdoors, reuse of ground, etc. (I was really surprised at the ornate carrying devices for bodies I saw in one church.) I'd also enjoy a rundown on architectural changes in buildings in ancient times. (I remember my parents pointing to doorways in some churches in Friesland, noting how Frisians would lower the height of doorways forcing invaders to "bow" to Frisians and perhaps lose their life doing so.) I'd welcome survey of famous Frisian scientific discoveries, too. There are sooo many topics I would like to see. I've just touched on a few. Lol. I can keep you busy for years! And I just checked out your other vlogs and I see you've already covered a good number of them. I'm now a subscriber so I can find them again and read them all.

Awesome, Frisia roots are interesting. All the norse gods and their name extention reached further, the goddess Nehalennia goddess of the sea Traveler. It reaches also the Veluwe. Solsche gat, also her name is known in His Story🙏

Forgot to mention the forced conversion. Please do an other video on the gods.

What do you mean by ''forced conversion'?

While interesting, I must admit that the words, the voice, the graphics, and probably even the background music all really reek of being AI-generated. The bit about Forseti in particular was incredibly repetitive and not really informative for how much time was taken on it.

I'm going to be honest; I used AI as a tool to create this video, but is it such a bad thing?
@johnnycyberpunk524310 ай бұрын
@@learnfrisianNot bad to use, as long as you use it as a guide and don't rely entirely on it. Whether you did or not, the video definitely feels entirely AI-generated. The art is definitely AI-made and it really sounds AI-written. I would recommend maybe using AI to get a rough outline, but then actually having a human write it because you'll avoid a lot of pitfalls of it sounding fake and therefore unreliable.
@learnfrisian10 ай бұрын
@@johnnycyberpunk5243 Well, it takes me a couple of days to create such a video. I use it indeed to make an outline for me and check all the information it provides me. The images almost need to be created by AI, because I wasn't really able to find actual images of the Frisian Gods ^^ (and I'm trying to avoid copyright claims)
@johnnycyberpunk524310 ай бұрын
@@learnfrisianFair enough, and honestly, some of those images were really good! Again, it wasn't exactly *bad*, just obviously AI-generated, especially with Forseti where you said, "Forseti is the Frisian god of fairness and keeping things peaceful." "...he cares about being fair and solving problems." "...he helps keep peace..." "...solve these disagreements in a fair way, keeping peace among people." "...had a special place called Heligoland, a peaceful island..." "...finding fair solutions." "...how much he valued peace and fairness." It is a little repetitive using the same words over and over in slightly different ways. Also, a pretty quick bit of internet research tells me that while his Old Norse name was Forseti, in Frisian, he was known as Fosite.

@@johnnycyberpunk5243 That's indeed repetitive... I should pay a little more attention next time, thank you for letting me know!
