What has your ex tenant learned from the experience? That he can expect to live in another's person property rent free for at least a year before moving out. He or she will do it again.

With an unfair law siding with the tenant, no surprise property owners are reluctant to become landlords.

An excellent candid video. Thanks for your honesty. A genuine question, and I'm not at all blaming you here but in hindsight would you take the same approach again in terms of your due diligence of both this property and that tenant. With specific regard to the price point you can rent the apartment for in that area and the type of tenant you're appealing to? What would you do differently?

Usual demonization of LL who provide a service for profit and get tied up in potential long term litigation ...hard to find a good tenant these days as a lot seem to think they are entitled to take advantage of the hand that feeds them..

I watched a TV programme years ago in the UK, about a couple who rented a property, to a middle aged guy, impeccable references, etc etc, never paid rent once he moved in,, think it took 2years to get him out,, turns out this fella had a long and chequered history of not paying rent, knew all the ins and outs of the legal system,, seems so unfair

The system is not fair and penalizes honest landlords. When I hear things like this, it makes me never want to be a landlord and I’d rather leave my money in an investment fund that needs very little involvement from me with a relatively low risk.

Its amazing that no one from a law society can ever tell the truth,,,the indoctrination is strong......
