In blackjack, the house edge, that subtle percentage which ensures my glorious casino always comes out ahead, hovers around 0.5% when you, the player, utilize basic strategy. Now, don't get too excited; basic strategy isn't the secret sauce you might think. It's merely the mathematically optimal way to minimize your losses against my well-oiled machine.

@Charles_Anthony4 ай бұрын
@@martinkliment7451 : I was playing Fallout 20 years ago. I've consumed every product, including Fallout 4, but I stopped with the mobile game and ignored that abomination entitled Fallout 76. The show is a mixed bag, Lucy and everything in the vaults was well written, but the moment she goes on the surface the writing takes a massive nosedive. It's Fallout 3 all over again with her hunting for her father. Then there's Cooper, the bounty hunting ghoul, which is probably the only good part of the show, but he's on that Fallout 4 storyline where he's searching for his daughter/child just like we all did when we played 4 looking for Shawn. Bethesda recycling storylines like always and that's ignoring all the plot holes like Cooper not exploiting the weakness in the power armor to take Maximus down, that awful "time line on the chalkboard" or Shady Sands being next to the Boneyard and or replacing it (Los Angeles). Don't forget that the Prydwin makes an appearance too despite being blown up in Fallout 4, but It's more than likely that Todd Howard has nullified all non Brotherhood of Steel playthroughs by keeping the Prydwin around. Speaking of "the man himself"... I personally don't care what Todd Howard, a known lair, has to say about anything. He came out saying that he "loves New Vegas" which is obviously a lie or we would've gotten New Vegas 2 by now instead of Fallout 76. He's come out and made claims that what we saw and heard on the TV show wasn't what we actually saw and basically has gas lit you guys into thinking that long time fans, such as myself, don't know how to read... The whole thing is ridiculous. I enjoyed the show for what it is, but the bar has been lowered so low that anything that isn't "Cowboy Bebop" or "Death Note" has been heralded as a masterpiece. If Todd Howard didn't say the show was canon, I highly doubt we'd be having this conversation.

I wonder if, just like the real Roman Empire, would Ceaser’s Legion be also converted to a Christian-like mindset somewhere down the line? One that tends to both communal and individual rights? Ceaser’s critique of modernity/NCR is that it was too self-centred, but Joshua Graham shows it’s possible to have a communal mindset while still valuing each member of the tribe. In my opinion Joshua represents what a Post-Legion future may look like once it is either humbled by the NCR at Hoover or synthesises with it post-conquest. Ceaser represents pre-Christian Rome and all it’s shameless brutality, Joshua represents a reformed, Byzantine society that seeks to unite all outlying societies under one banner, the Chi-Ro, without destroying the integrity of each. The Christianity of Joshua did not obliterate the identity of the Dead Horses, but simply gave them new morals, to prevent them from becoming like the Legion. If all cultures followed one set of morals they could be untied without force - an arguably better and more cost-effective system than Ceaser’s tireless hawkishness. The NCR is too individualistic, foregoing the community. The Legion is too communal, foregoing individual identity and dignity. Joshua’s path seemed like the best blend of the two, the synthesis before it even happened lol. Edit: I must clarify that Christianity didn’t end slavery in a day, but it certainly jumpstarted its ending - even the video with Fallout Caesar revealed this much. Christianity ended the gladiatorial system and thus why the Byzantines went to the Chariot races for major entertainment, thus revealing a further humanitarian progress in major thanks to Christian theology and ethics. My replies for some reason are not being published by KZbin so I’ll try posting it here. And as to Byzantine’s eventual degeneration and fall, one must note to fully benefit from Christianity one must follow its precepts; if your nation or people does not resemble Christ, it will not receive the everlasting succour of this religion’s noble, love-first theology.

It was already going downhill fast long before the legalisation of Christianity. I argue if it were not for Constantine, Rome would’ve completely fell to the Barbarian hordes during the time of Atilla. The Byzantines (who still would’ve seen themselves as Romans) managed to keep their affluent territory in the east and lasted unto the medieval era, still kicking about during the Crusades. They even outlasted the Iranians/Persians to the Muslims hordes, I think. No empire lasts forever, but credit should be given where it’s due - the Byzantines held the line long after the western half collapsed and even took some territory back (Belasarius too OP pls nerf XD)
