This game represented all the best moments of my childhood, when i was in highschool i wanted to play it again and i found out just a few months had past that it shut down, i was so sad, i tried so hard as i imagine many of us did, to have the people at toontown rewritten make me my old toon where its progress was to no avail obviously. TTR is awesome but nothing will ever replace being in 5th grade running home from school to meet your friends online and play all day till bed time. Im now 26, and boy do i miss toontown and being a kid, especially since my life took such a dramatically negative turn around highschool. Ill always remember these times

I legit grew up with this game. IT CAME OUT WHEN I WAS BORN. I played it for hours everyday. It's how I met my best friend. We both loved it. I cried when I heard it was canceled. I STILL KNOW ALL OF THE SONGS, all of the cogs, every gag to this day. Still makes me depressed to this day to be honest. I WANT MY TOON BACK.

Club penguin sucks. Toontown is better.. Although, Toontown is better off the way it is today, without the selfish people of Disney shutting it down and looking for more money. The person who made TTR asks for no money at all..

Man, I loved Toontown back in the day. Used to be huge on the aesthetics of unreachable areas (Cog HQs in particular), mind full of theories and speculation of what existed just beyond the skyline. Now it's coming full circle; all the things I used to imagine are starting to come back in the form of my own creative work (an idea so ridiculous it'd probably fit right in with TT's whole design). Great retrospective, really nice to listen to while working, thank you for making this.

Man, I remember ToonTag, I went to disneyworld for the first time probably 4 or 5 years after stopping my subscription for the game and was amazed at how similar that was to toontown. I REALLY wanted to go up and play a round but I was 14 and everyone playing was like, 7. Would've been awkward.

It was pretty much just the minigame in the trolley games, with the differences of: 1)always 4 players cause kids loved it 2)it was with the disney characters like mickey and minnie 3)it was played in toontown central, but not the two small ears of the area (so just the mickey head on the map) They never mentioned the toontown game sadly, but that could have been seen as shameless advertising or something by the parents.

It's really disappointing that the game ended. I used to play it so much when I was little. There is toontown rewritten but I didn't have that same exciting nostalgic feeling when I play toontown rewritten. The original toontown was a whole different world and I was much more happier playing the old one. Probably because the people who play toontown rewritten are more childish all they do is stay in toontown central and do stupid things while the old toontown had friends doing other things than trolling

Club Penguin is easier to manage with the simple 2D graphics, has a bigger userbase unfortunately, and can be made more profitable by being used on mobile and with plenty of ad space.
