Went on icon for the first time today and I have to say, I didn’t think it would be as intense as it is. On the second part of the ride it feels like your doing weight lifting just putting your arms up. This combined with the awesome airtime just makes an amazing ride!

Went on this ride yesterday, it’s honestly amazing! Ngl I’m so scared of rides but I faced my fears (I got dragged on it😂) and went on it. I thought the first drop wouldn’t be that bad but it’s breath taking😂 after that it’s amazing! It was a lot more intense than the video makes it out to be and it’s a lot more dramatic than I thought it would we but definitely worth it!

I’ve never been on a big rollercoaster (or any really because I’m terrified of them) but at the end of the school term we’re going Blackpool again and my friends said I have to go on ICON with them...I said fine (didn’t really have an option😂😂) but I’m already getting scared by looking at the turns...is it fine for people who are no good with rollercoasters??

I got to ride today. I absolutely adored every second of it, I thought i would enjoy Icon but it's exceeded expectations. I couldn't think of anything wrong with this ride and enjoyed it from queue to shop. I think this will appeal to so many people and really heightens the profile of BPB, they've really smashed it this time. Thanks for keeping us update with the ride progress it's been a real treat and unless I've missed a few videos this is the first time in ages I've seen Becca, the hair looked great girl Keep up the great work everyone.

This is one of the only rides I've seen where everyone has come off laughing, whether they were brave with rides or completely terrified, it just leaves you breathless and totally overwhelmed, what a powerful coaster!

I went on it today...rode it 7 times. A very long amazing ride and a very fast turn around time due to having three sets of trains.....One loading/off loading, One parked & ready to launch, and the third active on the track. Every video ive seen is deceptive...because the ride gives you weightlessness, extreem acceleration, deep plunging drops that you majestically emerge out of. You get a super-smooth feeling of gliding... due to the wheels being on the outside of the track. You almost forget there is a track at all! And get off feeling totally euphoric....it lifts your soul. 😎

Good job! Went to Pleasure Beach on Sat and we had plenty of rides on Icon... what can I say? Definitely the highest quality coaster in the UK, and also the best. It's so clever - a lot of people seem to be saying it looks slow, but it's just the right speed that allows you to properly appreciate the forces of every element. I mean, what's the point of a zero-G roll or an Immelmann if it's over before you felt it? Icon is fast where it needs to be, and there is plenty of airtime throughout. Ain't nobody saying it's 'too slow' or 'boring' in the exit area! BPB has taken a leap forward for the UK, I hope other parks will follow. I'm going back on Friday specifically to ride this all day!

Went on Sunday managed to get on it 4 times , first time I was so scared with it only being a lap bar but honestly pleasure beach has done such a good job with this ride I love it! Best ride since valhalah! Queue went down fast there was a minor technical fault which didn’t take them long to fix as well and it definitely secures you in tight enough

Great video. Went on Icon several times last week and all I can say is that it is WAY more thrilling that it appears in any video. It was so much fun, we loved it. Closest things we have ridden are Universal's Hulk or Oakwood's Speed, both great and maybe taller and faster rides, but I enjoyed Icon much more. It is now definitely Blackpool's best (and smoothest!) ride. Front row is best :)

Just wow, got on this 10 times yesterday (surprising for a bank holiday saturday) and ride it in the majority of rows (think i missed out 5) and I have to say it’s absolutely outstanding. It is easily the top coaster in the u.k. and definitely a contender for top 10 in Europe. The airtime is outstanding and it has some really good intense parts for a mack. It’s my number 2 behind Shambhala and i’m just so happy that the UK now has another world class ride experience!

Anyone scared of going on this, don’t be. It’s so fun and would 100% recommend! Such an adrenaline rush, my new favourite ride at the pleasure beach, and usually the queues are quite short.

This would be a perfect first coaster (with an inversion) for somebody who is unsure about rollercoasters. I don’t think it’s too intense, in fact it feels more like a family thrill coaster for me, but it’s still fantastic! 🙂

Got some good forces on it - most notably the top hat, along with the final helix. The latter really gets you good, haha. It just doesn't compare to wickerman though - I think this is the second best in the UK. The ride staff on icon also completely tighten the restraint as much as possible - leading to a rather uncomfortable ride sometimes. I was also asked to move a few times to the back because I have big thighs - despite having rode earlier on the front just fine. Wickerman has amazing theming, airtime, speed - everything you want on a great woodie. Unfortunately this ride definitely suffers from pacing issues. It just feels slow after the first few elements following each launch. It barely scrapes through the immelmann at times. I wish they went with intamin for this. More forceful launch, mainly. However it's still very good - my fav steel coaster I've rode by far, wickerman just offers a more thrilling, fast paced ride. (Valhalla was better than this, imo!)

Smooth, slow, comfortable ride for beginners. With no loop the loop, or vertical drop it spends most the time doing left right checanes. The Big One is WAY better! I think Blackpool over spent on this attraction. The gift shop is more exiting than the ride.

Went on Icon yesterday, and after 11 rides for me it's by far the best ride in the UK, and one of the best in Europe. It's borderline perfection. Launches, inversions, airtime, long, well themed, amazing throughput and what I enjoyed the most is the fact everyone absolutely loves it. Enthusiasts and GP all riding with their arms up and having a great time. Such a dynamic rollercoaster which rides excellent in every seat. Never experienced ejector on the front row of a rollercoaster before. Still gobsmacked about how good it was. Congrats!

I can tell you the height requirement for the Icon is 130cm tall or for the back seats it's 150cm tall. If you look on the Pleasure Beach website you can find the info for any ride that's applicable on there, It has nothing to do with age. There is also a maximum height exclusion for the Icon where if the guests head exceeds the height of the headrest then the guest will be unable to ride.

What are those Cameras on the front of each 2 seats are they what the ride has and does it take Photos and Videos? Can you Pay for Videos to be done aswell is that including into the DigiPass? Or are they GoPros that people took on and attached cause I heard you aren't allowed GoPro's?

Go with someone, and tell them to drag you on it before you go to the park, no matter how much you say no when you're there. That's how I got the courage to go on the medium coasters when I was younger.

The golden block of emarald It’s nothing like the Smiler, but yes it’s the best coaster in the UK. No need for fast pass on ICON.

Pleasure Beach Experience I agree nothing like the smiler but for some reason I like it more haha also when we went it was a really Busy day and we had any way fast track so we thought we had them so what is the point in not using them :)
