I was an Isle fanboy for the longest time and a lasting stress-tester. I still am, but my involvement has decreased 10-fold because nearly everything we have been hoping for The Isle for years, PoT has done, and done really well, in perhaps 6x less time. I love The Isle, but PoT is by far the better product and has become such a great game.

This will be kind of weird for any mammal mods and aquatics since they give birth to live young They could try adding a gestation period where the player has increased thirst and hunger drain and after they're done they can invite someone so the newborn will spawn next to them after a few minutes of sleeping or if they feel like being lazy and not care about accuracy, make all aquatics nest like sea turtles. The surface of the water doesnt allow you to have much creativity with your decorations ( also you're very exposed ) and nesting on land would give players an excuse to actually use those small islands for safe nesting

When I was testing this, the abilities I unlocked before becoming a hatchling, stayed on my Dino and slotted, I only had to grow to unlock their slot again.

I think the critters passive or aggressive nature depends on what creature you’re playing Adams what your growth stage is. For instance the tortoise ignored you as a baby Thasalodromeus, but I saw one chasing an adult Ceratosaurus.

man they spared no expense on making as many AI types as possible huh? I just hope the AI itself is decent enough to not pull me out of it like in the Isle....where the AI is so dysfunctional that it will randomly stop moving or keep running into walls etc. If they make the AI deadly, I hope it telegraphs it attacks and can be easily dodged, or they somehow incorporate turn rates and turn-fights into fighting AI so it takes more skill to kill.

I have only 2 questions. Why should I build a nest and do all that stuff if it gives nothing to me being adult. And why should I destroy nests if it also gives me nothing. Like for a pvp thing we at least could farm trophies and place them in cave.

a nest functions as a kind of portable home cave. you can change your abilities at your nest if it's at least 75% built. even if you don't nest in players, this is really useful, And you unlock it at sub, right when your creature gets access to a bunch of it's abilities a nest functions as a respawn point for offspring up to a certain age as well. destroying a nest destroys that respawn point and means that the nest owner can no longer change their abilities

Like if you don't wanna add a player or invite one, you could hatch an ai baby and theyll act like a regular ai? It would be hard to create that, but i think it would be cool.
