Imagine acting so untouchable when Behringer make higher quality ODs for like a quarter of the price 😂
@pete5516Ай бұрын
Because behringer rip off designs from independent and small companies, they can skip the R&D phase for almost everything. That is how their costs are low. If i stole your album, change the cover and sell it for half the price you'd be mad too. Edit: They also use forced labour practices and the cheapest manufacturing available. When you buy a behringer the price is cheap because someone in a developing country is being paid a fraction of what they deserve to earn. Frankly if you aren't in poverty I don't believe that you can't save up for a pedal from a more ethical brand. As I said before, most musicians would like to be paid fairly for their work, right? If so, then please give that same respect to designers and builders of pedals :)
@MyNameIsManLeeАй бұрын
@ from the normal consumers point of view who doesn’t look into companies too deeply are they gonna see the shady things a company does behind closed doors or the CEO going out of his way to do his? You raise valid points about behringers business practises that I agree with, but sadly most people just care about what’s right in front of them. And 10 years ago I’d probably care, but streaming is worse than bootlegging for sales 😂. I think I’d just be happy to see someone making money from it these days 😂. In all seriousness though you raised valid points, but my point was if you’re gonna do something that might reflect badly on you at least do it in private or a competitor can and will take your market space.
@pete5516Ай бұрын
@@MyNameIsManLee I can definitely agree with that. I just like to point out that Behringer is unethical whenever I can. I fully support musicians in developing nations who don't have access to higher end brands buying Behringer, they will receive effectively the same sound at a fraction of the price. However, if everyone bought Behringer, the innovators who provide the designs for these pedals would be pushed out of the market and it would stagnate because Behringer has shareholders to please, none of that money is going back into R&D for new pedals and effects. From a business perspective you couldn't be more correct. I just had to have my little anti-consumerism rant, sorry about that.

@gamezharks You must realize that many, if not most, of the products you own or consume are created by multinational corporations that are effectively amoral, ethically shaky, or devoid thereof, and which despite their public facing policies, have histories of exploitation and abuse that stretch back many decades, if not centuries (depending on the company), and continue to do so. Yeah. We nearly all have a Mike Fuller story. Back in 1998 I bought an FD2 FM, and in about 1999 it stopped working. A footswitch had died, so I emailed Fulltone asking if I could get a new footswitch sent under warranty. I received a hail of invective in response. Now, at that time it was widely known that Mr Fuller pretty much had two modes, and if you got him on a bad day, well, this was what you got. I had worked in IT Support for a couple of decades at that point and switched into "Dealing with short fused dick" mode. I re-worded my email and re-sent it from a different email address a couple of days later. The response was a polar opposite "Oh yeah. We had a bad batch of switches that lines up with your unit's serial No. I put a couple on the post for you".

Those of us with a single brain cell understand that: 1) posting personal opinions belongs on a personal page and not one’s business page because that’s just business 101, and 2) Fullerton way overstepped a boundary by telling customers, shops, and others stuff that along the line of threats, encouraging self-harm, and harassment. What professional in any industry would tell customers, shops, etc. to off themselves, that he’s holding their pedal hostage and to sue him for it, that they are idiots, that’s he’s going to go find them at their shop and beat them with his pedals, and all the other garbage he’s spewed?! His “apology” is too little too late when this behavior spans so many years. Fullerton was lucky another brand helped revive his company, and that’s how he behaves. Hell no. I hope they cut ties with him effective immediately. I wouldn’t take any of his pedals for free if someone offered to give me one. Regardless of what people think of this guy on a personal level, it doesn't make his pedals any less awesome. A good lesson for business owners though.

Compared to people like JHS and Keeley, his stuff was mediocre at best

It’s terrible that they let him have access to the business social media. In a personal capacity it would be ok, the man has no filter and cannot be exposed to the public as he’s cancer for a business.

I did not know any of this about Mr. Fuller. I was going to buy one of his pedals but now I think I will buy Four.

Apparently it is, if it'll get sixstringtv some likes on his KZbin page. You know you can't ever go against media approved thoughts.

Nice to see how you ignored the root reason for the protests - police violence. And the looting was started by the "boogaloo bois", as they wanted to start a race war. Guess they didn't show that on the "news" you watch.

So the moral of the story according to sixstringtv is that: looting the stores is perfectly normal behavior, and speaking against it is a "political take".

Mike Fuller's behavior is exactly how I would act if I did the customer service for an effects pedal company. Customers aren't always right and there's only so long you can be nice to stupid people. Who cares? Honestly you made a video, because you want to scratch a scab. I've got news for you , most musicians aren't normal and they all have unique personalities.
