When you are in deep snow or mud or sand,turn the button off,when there are limited traction conditions.The system works to actually " brake" one tire while trying to engage the other.This works against itself in certain conditions.Found out the hard way.

For readers - If you hit that button once and burn out in a turn - your cool and have lots of ‘skills’. You turn off stabilitrack you re-attempt that burn out in a turn you will find out what little skill you had. I know people at car clubs that found out about full turn off of stabilitrack and well their cars were in a ditch or severely embarrassed themselves pointing the wrong way after gunning at intersection.

I have the same truck 2 wheel drive with a 6.0 and 4.10 gears with posi. It will not spin the tires when trying to brake torque it or launch. If I turn off the traction control it will fry the tires. If you hold the traction control button until the Stabili Trac off light comes on you won't notice anything. Stabili Track is a control for the for the braking. It is like you turned off your ABS. Electronic stability control (ESC), also referred to as electronic stability program (ESP) or dynamic stability control (DSC), is a computerized technology[1][2] that improves a vehicle's stability by detecting and reducing loss of traction (skidding).[3] When ESC detects loss of steering control, it automatically applies the brakes to help "steer" the vehicle where the driver intends to go. Braking is automatically applied to wheels individually, such as the outer front wheel to counter oversteer, or the inner rear wheel to counter understeer. Some ESC systems also reduce engine power until control is regained. ESC does not improve a vehicle's cornering performance; instead, it helps to minimize the loss of control.

the tires I get are cheap. 40 bucks a tire and I can do rolling burnouts for days and hardly see any tire wear. They’re off brand but I only run them on the rear and they last pretty long. I got factory 20’s now but planning to go with replica 24’s with 33’s. Ima throw the 20’s on my old 07 classic. Gonna have as much fun with the street tires as possible until then though.

If you need to get out of a ditch pull the fuse under the hood to completely disable traction control/ stabilatrack this will allow full rpms to the drive train where as in the 07-13 GMs turning them off as described in the video only dumbs it down about 75% but will not allow full power to the slipping wheel if truly necessary 🥃cheers🍻

They can do it just gotta drive it like its stolen. I got a 2010 ext cab short bed 5.3 6spd auto it will light them up just not easily. Probably doesn't help I got the heavy 20inch TX edition wheels and 275 width tires. The 5.3s do not have much low end power more mid to upper range.
@charlieodom91076 жыл бұрын
The real issue is buying a 5.3l to begin with. Get a real motor and you'll have no problem spinning the tires. I can spin all 4 35" tires with a 6 cylinder in my truck.
@theurbanredneck24936 жыл бұрын
@@charlieodom9107 haha. A real motor huh? I dont think its the motor rather the gearing. I have a Cadillac version. Not meant to turn rubber. I could however build the engine. A 5.3 with a larger cam and a whipple will toss some unbelievable #s.
