Honestly as much as I'm glad to see the Pally working better, I'm more excited for Warrior and DH. Been tanking on a DH since SL and been tanking on a warrior since Cata, so seeing that they still have a fun aspect and that they are both going be viable makes me happy to see.

Wow, I pretty much completely disagree with your list. For me Brewmaster is easily the most fun tank and Pally and Bear are the least fun. I'd probably rank Blood and Vengeance in the middle.

Would it be correct to say that for someone who didnt play prot warrior at all in DF, it would be an S tier tank for them specifically? I've done nothing but DH tank and just DPS on other classes for the last two expacs so I'm looking for a changeup.

Give it a shot. Played this whole expansion as prot war. Great class, I had fun the whole time, you're constantly pressing buttons which is great once you figure out what you should press, when etc. The damage reduction/mitigation is second to none. When you're in a tight spot whether you pulled too much or the last one alive on the boss fight with a little bit to go for the kill you can really get that reduction/mitigation up there. On top of that you can reduce the cooldown of said emergency abilities that have longer CDs with a few other abilities. I don't remember what it was at with all my stuff activated but it was a little shy of 80% reduction/mitigation. Course that's being geared too. On top of a self heal plus potions/lock rocks. You don't do as much damage as other tanks but it's still respectable once you know what you're doing.

Yea, I'm assuming so. I'm 2 min into the video and the fact that he waxed poetic about how much self healing and sustain Blood DK has without a mention of the big hit to blood strike makes me think they didn't even take a chance to add in an edit after the fact to acknowledge this.

I tested it on beta. It's bad. It's very unforgiving and even when you play optimally, you are praying you don't die. A missed global from a healer and you are in a bad spot.

BDK and Brew are going to be the meta tanks. Everything else is just SUBSTANTIALLY less tanky/sturdy. I was tanking 10's and 11's on beta BDK and my healer can still ignore me just like retail.

@@Luxumbra69 I main BDK. I tried it on beta and felt behind my entire rotation. I wasn't seeing the big jumps or catch up mechanics we have on live. A good healer is a must now. Lower keys with casual players are going to hate BDK .

if blizzard is incapable for fixing prot pali , hear me out blizzard i know you guys hired some first timers , just make shining light wog cost no mana and increase its healing back to 300.% on self instead of 250 or another options , remove his holy power generator mana costs cause its insane how people think its not alarming that a tank can run out of mana , there is no tank that have mana in his tool , all of them rely on generating and spending , not mana included.

Most tanks are great... aside from BDKs getting their entire identity ripped away from them. The dungeon tuning and "mini raid boss" trash pulls are still the entire issue. Hope everyone is ready for 5 hour M+ searching.

Prot pally is garbage since Avenger shield not generate holy power and they just force you to use filler called Judgement for not any reason just a generate holy power what did actually Avenger shield before. I know it was spam rotation back then, but actually fun. Give me that option in talents or I will never play prot pally again in the future because of his 6 button rotation which 2 spells are situational like word of glory or shield of the righteous. It's just too much in compare with other tanks and the impact of this ADHD rotation with 6 button is not sufficient in compare with other tanks. My opinion, I was a prot pally from legion.

This "tier list" was minimally effective at giving me an overall understanding of what makes your opinion hold any water. This is mostly due to the fact that you operate under no facially obvious criteria for placing classes on the list. First, you describe BDK as being better because it has some minor Quality of Life (QOL) improvements. Second, you place warrior in A tier next to BDK citing that because it received no changes which is "unacceptable" whereas you argue BDK received QOL changes which is great. So, how is this justified? It seems inconsistent and confusing and definitely not persuasive. It seems you contradicted yourself with a few choices (e.g. Paladin compared w/ Druid). You minimally understand the mechanics of each tank and over-emphasize certain mechanics that you classified as problems but that actually confuscate the genuine issues faced by each spec (e.g. BDKs did not struggle with hitting marrowrend and yes while bonestorm change is a quality of life improvement why does this change lead you to placing BDK in A tier?). Additionally, you make weird claims that seem to confuse the direction that Blizzard seems to be going when you say, "you're not going to see changes when a spec works really well" (13:40). This is false because Blizzard changed every spec to fit the formula they've derived for TWW. A clear solution would be to (1) establish your critera at the outset or, to avoid rigidity issues, just be consistent with how you judge each spec by referencing similar qualities (e.g. tankiness, talent capstones, raid/M+ popularity, complex rotations, etc.), (2) avoid bias that will just confuse people such as arguing that warrior should be A tier since it cant be S tier, and finally (3) give some conditions that would help narrow your focus. Generally, citing that Gdruid is "the most fun" means different things in different contexts such as in raid, M+, and world content. Hope this feedback helps.

Not sure I can agree with that, for most tanks they reduced duration of defensives, that’s gonna have an impact on playstyle which is a key driver of the fun element. For instance, on BDK with the nerfs to death strike, your interaction with that ability quite a lot, same with paladin, with duration of sentinel & eye of tyr going down - there would be a greater element of skill expression in timing these in keys…again, impacting how fun that feels.

If the Talent tree from the prot warriors didnt get a Change, its realy bad.... I mean i like that every class get new stuff and its normal one talent is more OP as another talent. I mean i think i main my Hunter or Shaman next addon and they get so much changes and new talents. Look to the Survival Hunter talent tree. Its a art now. Shaman have a Lavaburst build and a lightning build... You have 2 Options and both perform good. Elemental is a a single target Monster in the tww beta. Thats crazy. Prot warriors, i'm sorry for you.
