Glad this helped! Indeed using dynamic symmetry beforehand can be quite cumbersome against just finetuning the composition later on. Both approaches are valid though.

I’ve been using similar grids like these in my logos and other graphic designs. The understanding that *everything* must be logically relative to each other is so fundamental.

It does completely shift your perception and understanding of how to organize things once you understand this, indeed :) Also it is always nice to see that this logic stays true and consistent throughout different visual disciplines such as graphic design, book layouts, architecture, archviz, painting, etc.

True, I don't know why I didn't include any in this version of the video. It is originally taken from the course I have and in there I give more practical examples. Thanks for your comment though and glad you found it interesting nonetheless :)

Thanks, I definitely should have and am sorry I didn't think of including a few illustration. This part is originally taken from my course From The Ground Up, and in there there are examples to show better the concepts. I should have included them in this version too, sorry about that.
