This was very interesting! It makes sense to use these techniques carefully. As always love your videos...thank you!

Thanks Abhijeet! Yep as long as you use all these simple tips mindfully everything is fine, it just becomes problematic when you apply tips without understanding what's happening in the background (of your brain and your image) :)

Very intersting. Do you also created your backround like this: the right side is bright, the right side is darker. :)

Hi there, thanks for the kind comment and interesting question. Background will work a little bit different because all the other layers will be on top of it so the effect of blocking and organizing the way you read the image is less pronounced than on the foreground (whether it's foliage, an awning, or whatever object). But the principle still applies, especially if you start playing with stormy skies that have a very dark area and a brighter area. This type of sky will tend to lead your eye a certain way for instance :) Also the overall value organization between foreground / midground / background will play a lot in the way your composition is read. ie : dark foreground / bright midground / brighter background will not read the same as dark foreground / bright midground / dark background. Hope this helps a little!

I do touch a lot on the topic of color in the masterclass that I run, but I'll try to make a couple of videos on the fundamentals on YT too, thanks for suggesting it :)
