The Fundamentals of NuTone 3 Conductor IW3 Intercom Wire

NuTone 3 conductor wire was used on dozens NuTone Intercom Systems from 1957 through the end of 2008.
During its 51 years of production, NuTone changed the design of IW3 Intercom wire several times.
This Video shows the different types of IW3 that were made and how to easily identify the type of IW3 your NuTone Intercom System uses.
I also show the correct way splice on to your original NuTone IW3 cable when you have to extend the wiring because you are moving your Master Station, or relocating a remote station.

Hi there, I desperately need help. I am upgrading my IM-303 to a Retro M Instrasonic. I have two sets of 3 wires. Only five wires are used. Do you have any videos to show the new connections with the old wires?
