Day 1 and 2 of our Fundy Footpath trek from Point Wolfe in Fundy National Park to Quiddy River primitive campsite. Unfortunately we don't have the other days so are repeating this hike in 2018 on our new 4K Hero 6.

Put big rocks inside the tent, forget the stakes.

That’s something I never thought of before. Next time I’m on the beach I’m going to give that a try! Thank you!

@@HowestheHike I hiked in the Southwest US, have a Sierra Designs 4 person tent, lots of headroom but those walls were big sails so I would put a large rock on each corner. Also had soil sample bags I'd fill with sand on beaches or to camp at White Sands NM and put in corners.

Just discovered your videos really enjoyed watching the goose river trial out and back. I wish to get into hiking…your pack is it a 60 litre??

Thanks so much! I was carrying an Osprey Zenith 88 back then, but now my go-to is a gossamer Gear Mariposa 60.

@@HowestheHike hi again! I live in Miramichi..is there a place you would recommend to assist me in my purchase?? I am tall 5’11 and long torso. Just thought you might be able to make a recommendation? Or I can hope for the best and buy online ..

Not sure about your area - but Fredericton has a fantastic store - Radical Edge - and SJ are has River and Trail. If I'k not mistaken, the Cleve's in Moncton has a pretty good section as well. A good fitting is essential!

You can camp on the paths in Fundy I never knew? I am looking to do some hiking and need some advance can I hike and camp on trails at Fundy? Is this the national park?
@HowestheHike4 жыл бұрын
This is not part of the park - no. The Fundy Footpath connects the park to a point near St. Martins - on the new Fundy Trail parkway. At FNP, you can only camp in designated campsites that need to be reserved. Hope this helps!

Great video - this there a second part? You guys are troopers! Do you mind my asking how old the girls are? I would like to use this information to shame my boys into doing the footpath this summer (they're 12 and 14).
@HowestheHike6 жыл бұрын
Hey Mark - thanks! The girls were 14 last summer and we will be doing it again this year when we get up home for the summer. Shaming works - haha! There is no second or third part due to an error I made with the SD card and my MacBook. We were in such a hurry to get out to Calgary for the molar loop after the FFP I simply erased everything by accident. Thus - the plan to do it again. (I am uploading our 2018 planning video today) I would advise some training for the boys. We did quite a bit and it was still very challenging - even in good weather. Suggest the "Fundy Circuit" in Fundy National Park or even the Dobson. Keep in touch - happy to help!!

I hear you on the training - I've done about 75% of it in overnight sections, but I was a lot younger then (and a little lighter...). I'll definitely be watching for your future videos, as they provide a lot of great context that it difficult to obtain otherwise.
