The Funk Flex Jay Z Rant - Was It Needed?

Last week Funkmaster Flex took to radio to deliver one of his bomb filled recognised rants where he threatened to end Jay Z's career for amongst other things, sending him a text with his name capitalised, to which he took offence to.

The guy with glasses knows nothing about rap. Southern music dominates because there are more black people in the south, so it gets supported more. No one had to bribe a dj.

MrSpliffstarz Master P wasn't big in the East Coast, and Cash Money had more sucess but still weren't culturally important. It was all about Jay-z, DMX, Nas, Pun, Wu still, and Up and comers like Fabulous. The West was running out of steam but had Dre, Snoop, and Xzibit. Hot97 was forced to nationalize as most corporate entities are run that way, uniformity across regions and it just so happen that the south was bigger but artist like Jim Jones, Max B etc were still bigger within the North East in 05-08.
