If anyone doesn’t get the music at 56:56, it’s the flintstones. Music is counted in a steady beat. The filled in notes without any fancy hooks on them are quarter notes, and they take up one beat. The filled in notes with the fancy hooks and the notes connected by lines are eighth notes, which take up half a beat. The empty note that doesn’t have a line is a whole note, which takes up four beats. The little weird looking things are eighth rests, which means that there is no sound on that beat. Music is counted in four beats in a measure (each blocked off cell with notes inside). This means to count four quarter notes, you would count 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Eighth notes are twice as fast as that. With the whole numbers landing on the same time as they did before, you would count 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +, etc. during the eighth rests, you do not count that half a beat. Two eighth notes, an eighth rest, and an eighth note would be counted as 1 + (2) +. During the 2 you would stay silent. Now, all that to say, the music would turn out to be 1 2 (3) + (4) + 1 2 (3) + (4) + 1 + 2 + 3, 4, 1(2, 3, 4). If you count to this pattern, you will realize that it is the Flintstones music.
