The answer to what the demands are to release them form being held hostage are quite simple. NEW SG, Atlantis and a better ending for Universe. Just simple demands.

@Steve the Pirate My big issue with any reboot is the new director tends to trash al the history and makes all new rules that just don't fit. One idea I had SGC comes up with a way to send one person and some supplies but they were unable to adapt the power system they send to run the ship at a level that would support the full crew and so Eli and this other person sort of has to rough it for a long time and that would explain his loss of the weight. Or better yet that can't send any thing through but are able to rig up something so he can live in the shuttle craft and rig up some sort of "thing" to make him minimal food. Again the reason for the weight loss. And for power when the hive ship exploded all the ZPMs were not destroyed. They were damaged in a way that makes it unable to power the Atlantis station. But are able to give the Destney enough power to keep Eli fed and the frozen crew alive in status. There are som many ways to play with this idea.
