0:38 OMG this, so much this. I went hiking in Pinnacles National Park and some yokel with an actual boom box was walking around with it on his shoulder, turned up so loud it echoed off everything. He had no idea he was disturbing everyone else around him until someone asked him to turn it down. He did so but was surprised that other people could hear his music. We were all "dude, the deaf could hear your music". LOL He took it well but ye gods people, be aware of your surroundings, you know?
@haplessasshole96156 ай бұрын
I'm a former >15-year volunteer naturalist at a local metro park favored by birders. I've had to ask people to turn down their music many, _many_ times. As with your encounter, most people seemed surprised to hear they were disturbing people and wildlife. I don't understand it. I also don't understand people who walk the trails in the woods with earbuds or (worse) noise-cancelling headphones on. Part of being in nature is hearing it and actively _listening_ to it. Mankind will never create music more gorgeous than a mockingbird at sunset.

1:21 This is so true! It's really sad how Kinder eggs are illegal yet you could buy a GUN in many places! Why?
@Whit-wy2ow3 жыл бұрын
They made this rule because there is plastic in the candy that is for children and they were worried children will eat it. In contrast children cannot buy guns. I'm not saying the kinder egg thing is smart. But there was some logic going on.
@jessicataylor71743 жыл бұрын
Under The Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act 1938 SEC. 402. A food shall be deemed to be adulterated- (d) If it is confectionery, and- (1) has partially or completely imbedded therein any nonnutritive object, except that this subparagraph shall not apply in the case of any nonnutritive object if, in the judgment of the Secretary as provided by regulations, such object is of practical functional value to the confectionery product and would not render the product injurious or hazardous to health; It appears to have been legislated at a time when much was sold by WEIGHT, but also it would protect from choking or contamination. Kinder Eggs were not specifically banned (the law had existed over 35 years before they existed), they are illegal because of the wording of legislation to protect the public from exploitation or physical harm.

@@Whit-wy2ow Ya, I know why kinder eggs got banned. But I am certain that there have been more deaths and injuries caused because of easy access to guns than there are from plastic being in a piece of candy. @Kayenne542 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I thought that 12 year old made a really good point. So good, in fact, that someone donating hair should probably record/register and DNA match the hair they've donated, store those records in a bank vault and give relatives essential info just in case. But then, there's that guy who would use that to his own advantage and claim "wasn't me"...sigh.

The Ryan Reynolds response is ironic (re: pineapple on pizza). The very first time I ever saw pineapple on a pizza was in his hometown of Vancouver in the early 70s. I was told by the waitress that it was the most popular thing in the Vancouver area.
@aaronleverton42213 жыл бұрын
Hawaiian Pizza was invented in Canada. The "Hawaiian" bit referred to the brand of pineapple (in tins!) being used. Personally, I love it (neither Canadian nor American), but I've heard plenty of non-Italian "purists" complain about it. I choose to assume they drink white wine while eating beef.
